    NIce looking table. 8-)

I'm still looking for that bumper pool table / card table myself. Not enough people selling them locally and the shipping off ebay is enough to choke a mule.

    Tulsa,

Try Dick's Sporting goods...if you got one out there. They are around $400 and pretty nice. Sears also had them at Christmas time for about the same price. And I know you have a Sears in Woodland Hills Mall...I used to work at the Gyro's and Salads in the food court many moons ago. :-)

Never even thought about Sears before! 8-) I was looking at Amini's where they start around $1500.

Tulsa, I just saw a nice card/bumper pool table combo at Sam's Club. It looked very nice. Sorry I can't recall the price off hand.

Amini's......I think I remember that place. Isn't everything they sell way overpriced? At least that's how I rember it...but that was a long time ago. :-)

Very nice table. I am in the same boat. All I have is a potable fold up one. Now where is it going to live? Do you have a basement or big family room. Who is your helper?

Aren't bumber pool tables supposed to be hexigonal?

The one I saw in Sam's Club was hexagonal shape. It had a removable card top that covered the bumper pool part. It may also had reversible table top, felt for card playing and the wood side for normal table use. It was a very nice looking table.

Yeah, I'm looking for one of those 3 in 1 tables. Not just a straight bumper pool table.

Amini's is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced on everything!

    It's why I don't have one yet.

    Tulsa-

The Dick's Sporting Goods and Sears were the 3-1 and pretty nice. I will probably get one once my basement has transformed into Dan's Rec Room! :-)

Bumper pool tables weren't six sided until lately. When I was a kid, there weren't six-sided tables or if there were, they wern't poplular. Now they have made them that way to capitalize on the poker craze. Mutli-use, maybe? This one is pretty cool! http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller...4889-8163049?%

    slotter-

I'll have to disaagree on this one. My parents had one way back in the early 70's when I was but a lad. I spent many a night playing bumper pool with my pops. I'll have to ask him whatever happened to it. It's probably in his shed (which is bigger than the average house in the USA). He built it himself 20 years ago just to get away from us.

P.S. The one pictured above is very similar to the ones I was talking about...minus the chairs. :-)

I think Tulsa is looking for this type that he can convert to a table if need be.

As it turns out, I grew up in the 50's and 60's. I actually saved my allowance, lawn mowing money, etc. for over a year and bought a bumper table for down in our unfinished basement and it wasn't a hexagon, although, maybe they did make 'em, I wasn't aware of them and I sure studied the tables at that time. Bought it from the Sears catalog... Loved to play on it. I think that was my start of game room fascination.

That's the kind I'm looking for. The prices are not that bad on ebay but the shipping sucks. I was hoping to pick one up local. To be honest, I've had so many other projects going on, I haven't had a lot of time to spend on it.

Since my game room is really a converted formal dining room, the bumper pool table is a natural fit.

The one I'm talking about in the above posts at Sears and Dick's are a 3-1 table....Bumper, Poker w/felt and cup/chip holder, and a regular table. The one I had growing up was the same way. I am not doubting that you had a non-hexigonal one, I was not aware of any that were rectangular. The only way I had ever seen them was hexigonal dating back to the early 70's. :-)

I just looked at Sears.com and I think the ebay items look like a better deal.
