Default Easy ball return mod (cyclic usage)

a recent ebay auction got me to looking at my machine for ways to make the balls return to the front tray instead of falling into the box in the back of the machine.

WARNING!! this mod will damage your machine. Proceed at own risk. I would not reccomend this on a premium machine, but my $59 Disco Queen will do fine.

    It's OK, slotter...
I'm sure DaStooge used lots of local anesthetic before he snipped.
It didn't feel a thing... honest.

Well then... I hope you didn't waste that anesthetic! Mix it with some tonic and throw it down!

What about behind the board, it is there only plastic. easyer to cut, but it will change the sex of your machine, geilding it will become. :-(

That way the front will always look the same. and the parts are all replaceable if you lplan ahead and get them before you :-? geild it.

You will still have to fill the top tray for payoffs.

Actually, the mod is not a bad idea, at all!

Now, is there a way the mod could be accomplished so that an insert could be placed back onto the modified spot so the game would play regularly?

This would give the player an option to have a practice mode to perfect their ball placement strategies and a regular play mode when ample balls are available and the player doesn't mind shifting balls from one tray to another.

DaStooge, that's really a unique solution to getting the ball to the front of the machine without opening the door. Good job!

    An alternative idea...
On the back of most pachinko,
there's a circuit board with six color coded modular plugs.
It's usually in the upper corner.
If you rig a wired hand held switch or switch box to one or more of those modular plugs,
you can trigger payouts(5-15 balls), bonus rounds, super bonus, etc.

You could potentially rig a game to play completely ball-less, using only a held controller.

Arby's suggestion would be better, and it would be reversible without any cosmetic damage to the front of the machine. You would still have to feed the hopper but in my case it would save me from opening the machine.

    Now we are cooking!

Does anyone have a shot of their game with the completed mod on the back side?

Just looked at my Apollo 1(13), this looks like a 5 minute conversion. One hole, one piece of tape and one little piece of plastic. Should have seen it before. And maybe a little model glue.

best thing about it is that is quickly reversible. now someone has got to come up the ball in/out counter.
