    Default Help with Vintage Machine

    Hello,

I'm wondering if there is somewhere I may find a listing of the different Pachinko machine manufacturers.

I have a machine that (according to Macaroon's site) was manufactured around 1960's or 70's. In addition to the patent and manufacture date stamps, it has about 4 or 5 other stamps in the lower right corner. The machine is a single feed and is in mint condition. All writing is in Japanese. There are lights but is not electric. No video. Everything works.

I wonder ... I've scoured the internet for a machine resembling mine and have yet to find one. I'm thinking there weren't too many of them made?

If someone could direct me to a listing of all manufacturers and/or pics of many different machines ... maybe a page I missed? I'd really appreciate it.

I will return soon with photographs of the machine and the name.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Laurie

    Default Beautiful Machines

Thanks for the link. I had already seen these photos and none of the machines resemble mine. My machine has the pegs, etc. I would love to have one of those machines!! They are beautiful!

What I would really like to know is the different manufacturers from back in the day. Do you know if it is possible to access the Pachinko Museum in Japan?

Be Right Back - I'm found / Found Some

This is an interesting link: http://japanvisitor.com/jt/nagoya_attractions.html

I've had my pachinko machine FOREVER and have take good care of it. I read an article recently that said the Pachinko Market in Japan brings in $125 BILLION per year on average and is more than the Vehicle Market.

Also stated Japanese Pachinko collectors (usually owners of the parlors) are paying A LOT of money for vintage machines.

I will gladly take any information anyone has in regards to determining the value of the vintage machines. I will also post any info I find. Pictures of my machine / Name also soon.

    Thanks so much! ~ Laurie

PS - ArbyCoffee...I'm from Iowa, too. Born & Raised a Corn-Fed Girl. Now I live Las Vegas. Missin home way much! Thanks again.

Welcome from Arby's other Iowa neighbor, BodyworkMentor! 8-)

I'm sure you searched ebay for vintage Pachinkos, but if not, click on below URL:

    Default I love IOWA!!

Only 3 of us from Iowa?? What's up with that?? Now, I know there are a ton of veterans who have some vintage machines out in the morton building... They'll show up sooner or later. Hee Hee.

On a more serious note ... No pics yet, but I do have the name ... it is Okumura yuki ~ VICTORY. The VICTORY looks like CHEVROLET ... similar to across an old 57 Chevy (which is in the Morton, too). VICTORY is the only American word written on the entire machine. If I didn't say it before, there are additional stamps / seals around the patent stamps. Never seen those before either.

Anyways ... like I said, I haven't seen a machine made by Okumura yuki anywhere...which could mean there aren't very many or there are too many!

    Pictures later today!

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks so much!!

    Default Photos

You may look at the photos I took of the machine ... they are not very good, as I was in a rush ... and I did not clean it at all. There is no rust on the metal frame, though there looks to be in some areas on the photos. I wiped one area with a metal polish and it shined right up.

I am such a perfectionist, so it is very difficult for me to post these photos without first cleaning the machine up

    Link Info for Photos: http://www.BodyworkMentor.com/Japanese_Pachinko.html

Have a look - it is not too much different looking from some I've recently seen, but I've just never come across a VICTORY or Okumurayuki name on a machine.

    Talk to you soon.

    Default Thats The One!

To Pachi_Slotter & ArbyCoffee....I knew I could count on my fellow Iowans! Oh...and Slotter, forgive me for not thanking you for your ebay link the other day. I had already looked there and found mostly new machines. Thank you also for welcoming me to PachiTalk. Are you guys really neighbors ... or just both from Iowa?

This link took me straight to my machine (#4) the only difference is mine is green where that one is blue.

Now, any suggestions on how I might read what is said on the page? My Japanese is a bit rusty.

Thanks again so much!! See...this is why I'm moving back to Iowa...the people are so much nicer than in Vegas.

We all seemed to be writing at the same time! Of course I miss the corn! And cow tipping and hunting crawdads and coon hunting at night and shoveling my car out from underneath 30 feet of snow only to find the gas lines are frozen and I forgot to plug it in! :-? :-P

    Default Translated page

Here is the translated link: http://translate.google.com/translat...ekishi_01.html.

They seem to list their products newest to oldest ... and it says the #4 type of machine is the oldest. It reads "All of 15" ... do you think it means there were 15 models of that type of machine, or that there were 15 machines total?

Just wondering if anyone might know ...

The original text says "ALL 15". It means that all payouts are 15 balls.
