Thinking of cutting Cable TV - Need your Advice.

I did a little research on this concept of replacing the cable box with a ROKU or Sony Media box to stream TV. The ROKU at $ 99.99 is the better price since Sony requires a Blu Ray purchase at $ 399 or a new TV at $ 599. BoxeeBox is $ 199 which is available thru Logitech. I am still trying to check my SONY TV model numbers to see if I can just use the ROKU. I agree with you that cable will eventually go away and die unless they drop their prices considerably. Even the phone service cost isn't attractive anymore. I may go out today and buy the cheapest antenna and see how it works on my old tv sets. I originally signed up for the triple play service, but now I pay $ 210/month for HBO Silver, 1 phone line and internet service. Too much for a poor selection of movies.
