Default Shhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I have neighbors, be verrry, verrrry quiet

the ol lady just asked a very good question, I live in an apartment, If we can hear the couple downstairs during the night time hours abusing their bed, :smt057 :smt058 (hint, hint) then what am I gonna do about the cha ching noise from the machine when I win????? any suggestions on how to muffle the noise of tokens being payed out? I would just let them fly but yesterday we got a coupon for half off a months rent due to not having any noise complaints and being "tenant role models" mike

If you get any complaints about the noise, just tell the management that it's all their fault. You bought the machine with the money they saved you on half a month's rent. :-)

Play at REASONABLE hours, and realize that the noise you hear isn't all the coins hitting the tray...most of the noise on mine is from the hopper, which we found out one night when my buddy came out, opened the door, to see where the coins get flung from, and we noticed the niose was still considerable...the quietest machine I had was Hanabi Hyakkei, which I THINK has a mostly plastic hopper. Hope it helps you some?

Also put the machine on a rubber pad, sound will travel thru the table down. four old mouse pads on the four corners should do it.

it seems like it don't it...lol the outside of the place looks descent, the inside is really nice but I think the only thing separating me and the downstairs apt. is wallboard, studs, and carpenting. its got new paint and carpet through out but what do you expect for a complex bulit back in 1971????

try mounting some of that sticky foam that everyone is talking about to the outside of the hopper then to the inside of the machine on any open spot as well as to the bottom of the machine but leave room for a set of rubber feet. i know it works in those big tin boxes i play in!! heck cuts the noise down to the point where you can hear a large cal. handgun fired inside as long as its within 3-4 feet of your head! forget those wimpy 9mms though.
seriously: the padding cuts the heck out of the noise(70-80%) on my azteca. can play it in the middle of the night and the cat doesn't even wake up and glare at me!!
