No Payout

Hello All, I have a Toyotech "Nice Day" machine I bought new approximately 15 years ago. It sat in my garage collecting dust and I recently broke it out to clean it up. It basically works well, but will not pay out at all. I believe the problem lies with the sensor that recognizes that a ball has entered a pay shute. I think this is the problem because when the ball hits the sensor, it should send a signal to the payout mechanism, but nothing happens and any subsequent payout balls juct back up in the track. Unfortunately, I do not know how to test it to make sure. Does anyone have any ideas or advice?

If you could, please post a photo of your machine (both front and back). That would really help us to troubleshoot your issue.

The most common reasons for a vintage machine not paying out is too few balls loaded in the top ball tray. There should be several hundred for the machine to work properly. Another common issue is the Jackpot payout seesaw is in the wrong position. (see attached photo). I'm not sure how old your machine is, but if it looks similar to the one in my photo then make sure the right side of the white seesaw is pointing up like in the photo.

Jeff, Thanks for the reply. I think my machine would be classified as a "modern" even though it's 15 years old. Attached are photos of the front, back and the sensor that I think is "bad".

Well i would start with the basics. Check the fuses and wiring.
Are you getting anything on the display in the middle?
I would also say but do it carefully and don't force anything, is to feed a ball in to each pocket and if it will open the trap door at the bottom.
As pointed out. Most machines are reluctate to payout due to lack of balls and the sensor in the top hopper telling the machine not too.

I'm sorry I don't know that machine but...
I'm sure others will have ideas.

Thanks for the advice. I made sure the hopper is full, fuses are OK, LCD Screen is working and the LCD # displays 00. I fed a ball through each pocket but the trapdoor at the bottom did not open (and still no payouts).

after looking at your pics im wondering if you have enough spheres in the hopper?? im guessing you know the machine requires balls in the hopper but its an easy answer to the probolem
