    Default Autostop comparisons

I have had Autoslot for a few weeks now (the one built in to the cable.) I love it! It doesn't change the machine at all, you don't have to wire it into any other part of the machine to get it to work, it's configurable for both time to 1st reel stop and time between reel stops, and it hold it's settings when powered off. The down side; it doesn't work with every machine yet (he's working on it.), and it doesn't have the credit mod.

Today, I got a reel stop board that was modded with a PachisloUSA auto-stop chip on it. It worked partially in at least one brand of machine that the autoslot didn't. The timing between reel stops is very configurable and it has the credit function. The downside; It requires an extra wire to the start lever to stop the reels Left to Right and with consistent timing. If you do wire the Start Lever, the reels run a full 3 second before the 1st one stops, and it is not adjustable. It also loses all settings every time it's powered off.

After playing with the PachisloUSA chip for a few minutes, I decided to wire up pin four to allow it to stop the reels consistently. The website warned that this function might not work on all Sammy models. It didn't work on mine, and the chip didn't work at all with pin 4 wired up. I powered down the machine, waited about 30 seconds and disconnected the joystick wire. I powered the machine back up and started it up to verify that it was working the way it had originally. In a moment of sheer stupidity, I accidentally allowed the disconnected pin-4 wire to come in contact with something inside the machine. There was small spark and a pop, and the PachisloUSA chip was toast. The reel stop board still works fine, but it blew the top off the PachilsoUSA chip. I count myself very luck that I did not fry my machine

THIS WAS 100% MY OWN STUPIDITY, I"M NOT SAYING ANYTHING IS WRONG WITH THE PACHISLOUSA DESIGN.

I ordered 2 more chips from PachisloUSA, One to replace the one I blew up, and one to potentially install on another board. I didn't get a chance to play with the credit mod, and I want to do that.

That said, I do prefer the auto-stop features of the AUTOSLOT. I'll be continuing to keep in touch with him as he works on getting the last few styles of machines working. As it stands now, I'll probably order several more Autoslots.

Maybe I'll work on a separate credit mod that works independent of the auto-stop.

Thanks for the post! Good info.

I have been thinking of the Autoslot just for the fact that I can keep it if I sell the machine.

I wonder if PachisloUSA has considered producing some boards with their chip already installed? The price is right at $10, but I worry about my soldering skills.

The soldering is easy. I can almost do them in my sleep now. As for leaving them on a machine when you sell them, don't it just make it that much easier to sell them? I will be putting them on all my machines that I sell to people. I buy enough chips at a time now that the chip, materials, and labor is about ten dollars. All that have bought one of my machines or one that I have gotten for them said it is a plus to have the coin modification and have paid extra for it.

The Autoslot sells on E-bay. Information can be found at http://www.autoslot.info The guy who makes them has joined the forum here. I e-mailed him last night and he said he was holding off on putting a new listing up until he can test his latest improvements on a Sammy machine that he is buying.

He also had more interesting features to offer, but I'll let him talk about those when he's ready.

Czyotto, I think Spooners setup will be a great deal if you want the PachisloUSA features. I've tried both, and I prefer the autoslot myself.

I also have the super auto-stop board from pachislo.com on the way so I can give a comparison of all three.

Frank A: As metioned earlier, AFAIK, the Autoslot has been available exclusively through E-bay, so far. The maker isn't running any auctions right now because he is testing a new revision that should allow it to work with some of the brands I have had no luck with.

I did not see any auto stops on the Pachislo.com site. Maybe Stealth or PachisloSlots.

I like the 50 credit mod a little better then the auto stop feature. Right now I have the Super Auto Stop (PachisiloUSA) in my Babel. I am waiting on Spooner's AutoStop kit for my Azteca. I use the auto stop until I hit a BB or BG. Then I use the stop buttons.

I get the auto stop from pachislousa only for the credit mod on my own machines. It is hooked up so it is fully functional but if you wanted it can be installed to do only the credit mod part of it.

Hi everyone, this is the "AutoSlot" guy. Chris invited me to this forum so I thought I would post an update.

I've sold several AutoSlot cables on EBay with mostly good results, but I had a few people that found it would not work on their machines. Therefore I took it off the market until I find out what was wrong. (I want to have 100% satisfied customers.)

I think I've got the problem problem figured out. It basically involves how "clean" the 24V Power supply is on the Pachislo machine. Some machines have a lot of AC noise riding on the 24V DC that caused my microcontroller not to work. It looks like the solution is simply for me to add a filter capacitor to my circuit.

I will be testing over the next week or so and hope to be back on EBay soon.

Also, one unadvertised feature of my AutoSlot cable is a credit-add function. I've have not listed this feature because it is not a simple plug-in, soldering or cutting wires is involved. If connected wrong it could fry the AutoSlot board of possibly your Pachislo machine! It also will not work on all machines. Most machines use two coin sensors that are at 5 volts and when a token is detected, go to 0 volts. There are some machines, such as Don Don King, that use 24 volts and have 3 coin sensors! The AutoSlot credit-add will only work with machines with one or two coin sensors at a maximum of 5 volts. (It connects in the same manner as the PachisloUSA model.)

Once I re list on EBay, I will add the credit-add wiring to the AutoSlot cable for the for any PachiTalk member that requests it, but it will be definitely USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Here is the EBay link to the last ones I sold:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...STRK:MERFB:IID

Hope to be back on Ebay soon!

Welcome, autoslot! Dang it, Vince. You are going to tempt me with one of these things now. I swore I wasn't going to get one, too. 8-)

I think the vast majority of us really aren't that intersted in auto stops as much as we are the credit mod. Personally I don't want my machines to auto stop for any reason. It's part of the charm of a pachislo. Now the credit mod.. 8-)

Thanks for the link. But for $59.00 I will pass on theirs. I like the credit feature the most on the Pachislo USA better, plus it is a heck of a lot cheaper.

But that is my opinon. To each their own.

I'm not a proponent of the pachislo.com board, I haven't even received one yet.

My hope at the moment is that Vince's new version of the Autoslot with the Pachitalk exclusive credit mod option should be the hot ticket for both credit and autostop function.

I should get to see both the Pachislo.com board and the new Autoslot real soon. I'll let you know what my impressions are.

Hi folks... just bought a Gundam machine and found your site.

My kids love the coins, going in and falling out, so I wouldn't go for the coin mod, but I really like the feel of the vegas style autostop. I cannot find one anywhere as Vince is not listing and http://www.pachislo.com/pachislo/autostop.html is currently out of stock. I'd pay the $59 and I'm under a time crunch as I promised to have it ready for my mother-in-laws 50th B-Day party.

Anyone know where I could get one of the solderless cable solutions?

Also if you are any good with soldering. Go to this link. This is not that hard. http://www.pachislousa.com/instructi...utostop-ad.htm
