    Default Cardreader Questions

I have some questions about the Dongle 2.0 + Smartcardreader

i want to prepare my cabinet and the wires for

    CREDIT SWITCH

is this on the 4 pin connector of the smartcardreader

PIN 4 to 2 or 3 (both are ground)

    ok?

    and

    SETUP BLOCKER SWITCH
    how does this work?
and where are the right points on the 4 pin connector or must i
cut the 10 pin wire ?

    A Setup Smartcard?
How can i programm one of my cards to be a SETUPCARD?

    Credit on Card System:
When i program credits to a card in MACHINE A
and go to another pachinko with same Dongle type
can i use the credits on MACHINE B

    thanks

    This is correct.

This is not available on the 4 pin header on the smartcard reader boards. You need to connect pins 2 and 4 of the 10 pin connector together. The easiest way of doing this is with a solder blob on the back of the circuit board. If you would like a photo showing where to put this solder blob, let me know and I'll charge up my digital camera (which always seems to have flat batteries when I need to use it!) and modify a reader board for the photo.

In the future this will be easier as the new batch of smartcard reader boards will have the full 10 pin header to connect to (rather than the 4 pin header on the current boards). I've spent the last two days part-assembling a batch of these, but my supplier for one of the connectors is out of stock, and is quoting a delivery date in April. The next best supplier has stock, but the price is 4 times higher. So I think this is going to be one of those events that determines whether I am a patient man or not.

You can't (unless you have a suitable 'i2c smartcard' reader connected to your PC). I can supply a smartcard programmed with the setup mode trigger code for the same price as a standard smartcard. I really should add this as an option on the store page on my website. But until then, just add 'Setup Mode' to the artwork field, or add a 'note to seller' specifying that you want a setup mode smartcard.

    Yes, this is correct.
