    Default My foray into cabinets

Well with Christmas right around the corner- and an excess of Pachinko machines in my house ( I know I know - there is no such thing! ) I set out to make four cabinets for family members. One is pine, one maple, one mahogany, and one in Hickory... I'll post more pics as I find the time to get them together- and get them finished

And here are the pics of the pine case- I laid two coats of stain ( one gunstock(?) and one layer red mahogany- then a red mahogany gel stain till I got a color that didn't look so much like stained pine...

The hickory case is next to be glued up and finished- going to use a dewaxed shellac- maybe 4 coats - rubbed out with steel wool and waxed- This is how I finished the mahogany case. Pics posted upon completion...

So when are you going to start offering them on ebay...

Im sure there might be a market for them

I think I'll stick to making them for my collection for now- Thank you very much for thinking that they are marketable! I think I put too much time into them to get the money out of them that I would need to recoup. Maybe on a commission basis when I have my construction methods down pat...

Great looking cabinets. They would look great in any game room, very proffessional.

Please consider selling your work; not cheaply, but at the full value of your skills.
There are many artisans with three to nine year pre-paid back orders for well made items.

YES! Very nice indeed! I would buy five here and now. How much would you have to sell each to make a 100% profit?
