    Unhappy Popeye Troubles

    Hi there,
I'm in need of some help. I bought a Popeye pachinko from an individual a little over a month ago. When I looked at it, he turned it on and it was loud and he played a little. I was careful bringing it home and put it in the closet until today when I pulled it out to wrap it for Christmas. I turned it on and the motor sounds...lights flash but no music...nothing. I don't have a clue how to initiate play but assumed the balls are added to the top hopper and you turn the knob on the front bottom right to drop the balls into play. The reward/pay out hopper is full but nothing happens, no balls drop, no music, nothing. I don't understand what could have happened in the time it took me to get this thing home. Any suggestions?

load the top back hopper with most of your balls then put a hand full or two in the front top tray..

you have to have balls in the top back hopper befor the machine will ever work..

how meany balls do you have???

a mordern machine will need at least 4 to 500 balls to even opperate right.. and having 1000 and more will make your playing experiance much better

    hope that helps

Good news! There is a good chance nothing is wrong with it at all. From my understanding these new pachinko machines don't always sound-off when they are turned on because their play status is saved in the Japanese equivalent of the NV-RAM. The logic of this saved status is to not be afraid to turn on the machine. Try and activate the payoff or reset the machines' RAM. It should sound off then.

Do you have balls in the front tray??

There won't be any music until you get a ball in the start pocket..

When you turn the shooter knob can you hear it trying to shoot balls??
