    Default power cord

On my machines it has a two prong cord and the ground wire is cut. the machine also has ground staps from door frame and other component. to better protec the machine from stray voltage would be wise to install a three prong cord and wire up the ground ? also i use a surg protector

    Thanks

always protect yourself and your machine use a 3 prong grounded cord .and ground the green to the transformer body .if it doesn't have just a transformer then ground it to the power supply case . i suggest a good quality computer power strip with a 15 amp circuit breaker built in and surge protection .dont be afraid to spend a little extra to protect your investment .In electrical equipment you get what you pay for ...
