Default Help on Nishijin Model A

I have a Nishijin Model "A"pachinko machine and require some assistance in order to fix it. The machine is not launching the balls because a plastic piece has broken in the back. I was wondering if anyone could provide upclose pictures of the ball launcher so that I could see what the broken piece actually looks like.

    -Thank You

I have not seen an arm like that on any of the model A machines I have restored or worked on. Perhaps Mopar has seen one like that. One way or antoher we will get you the information you need. There are a LOT of very helpful people in this forum.

I recently bought this machine at a garage sale. Overall, the machine is in good condition. All the parts are intact and all the electric appears to be there. Besides the baby blue color, the only problem that exists is the broken plastic piece near the hammer. In the pictures I placed a green box around the part and a red box in the area that it broke. It appears that someone tried to glue the broken part back into place. If I could get a clear image of what the part actually looks like, I will be able to machine the part out of Acrylic.

    Welcome Welcome

The front of your machine matches my Model B very closely, even though it is clearly a Model A. Check it out here Tuna's Model B

I have some pics close up to that part of the machine that I took this weekend that I can post when I get home tonight. I wonder how similar the shooter mech will be since they both appear to be close in age.

I'm sure someone here will be able to help out. Now I'm not going to let that "Making parts out of acrylic" comment slide. I'm certain that Mudfud is going to pick up on it and have some questions. You might want to check out the Making Replacement Parts Thread to add some input.

    Good luck

I just want to say that THAT is a very blue Pachniko machine! Wow!

Looks to be in pretty nice shape though, at least from the front.

Yeah, I had just said Acrylic because that is the best material I have around for the job. But I am open to suggestions on any other materials. As far as the part goes, I can't wait to see the pictures. And yeah, the blue is a little much, but I didn't do it haha. Perfect song!

i like the blue (its to bad they painted the lock and hinges and everything)

i wouuld try and clean the paint off the lock and hinges and other parts but its a nice color... (ya ya i like Blue)

i didnt have a shooter exactly like yours but one verry close.. so i shot this in action to see of it will help ya come up with the missing link to yours.. from your still pics its hard for me to understand what might be missing??? the only thing not pictured is the wire from the shooter to the ball advance... but it could be cause your pic is so close up..

when you pull the shooter is there a wire to advance the ball??

take a look at this and see if it helps... if you need me to remove it and take still or more vid let me know

    Hope this helps

Mopar you are the man! That video gives me a good enough idea of what needs to be done. Your model is slightly different but could work. And I will definitely get that paint off the lock.
