    Talking Old single ball Itigin?

I bought an old single ball. The only name I see is Itigin. I've never heard of this type. Can anyone help with some info? Thanx Steve

Hi Steve ... the best way to get your answer will be to post a pic of your machine.

Talking Re: Old single ball Itigin?

I will put some pics when my gf gets home with the cam. I know the pics are important but I was curious if anyone had heard of Itigin before? I have an old Ginza single that is almost identical. Thank you guys.

I haven't... but my experience is limited to what I've read on this site. I actually thought it may have been a typo on your part... now that I know it wasn't, I am even more anxious to see the pics.

Wow! That is an early to mid 1950's single ball machine, and it looks pretty complete. As mopar mentioned, the cell/playfield is cracked and needs to be replaced, but that is not an impossible task. Several members here have done it.

I thought I saw this machine on eBay a while back - is that where you got it?

yes it is from ebay. i have restored many machines to various extenets. i have this and 2 other 50s single balls that need the cell replaced. otherwise they are pretty complete. i will soon post some pics of the ginza i restored other than the cell on it.

Don't worry about it, we were all new once. I would say though that it is only necessary to open one technical support ticket per machine. Since this is the same one from your other thread, it would be best to consolidate them so that all pertinent information will be located in the same thread. Perhaps a Moderator will do that for you.

I am sure that many will offer you information and/or advice over the next few days. This machine's age alone will interest.

I found this link in another thread here dealing with vintage pachinkos, not sure if it will help you or not. The site has a section on year, make and model but unfortunately Itigen is not mentioned. You may find some of the other information useful.

You may also want to give this thread a look-see. Mudfud (one of our very active vintage enthusiasts) compiled a thread of useful vintage discussions.

Personally, I have never heard of Itigen, but then again there are a LOT of early pachinko manufacturers that made machines in the 1950's and 1960's that are no longer around, either due to mergers, industry competition/consolidation, or change in company focus. I have an early machine made by Hokoku, and that company appears to have ceased operation sometime in the late 1960's as far as I can tell. I would imagine that Itigen made Pachinkos for a short time and then disappeared like many others.

Perhaps Emmadog may be able to find a reference to Itigen in his books on early Pachinko machines found in this thread: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...book-pics.html
