It is the same transformer as mentioned in this post I imagine I'll pay for my laziness as I could have likely checked my other pachinko and tried to get a transformer that matched it. I'm not against getting a different transformer.

I tried to text my brother as he does electronics for a living, but he never checks his texts

I messed up when I quoted the wires, it's red black black red on the 120 side, and blue yellow blue on the other side.

And... I looked glancingly for a meter. I know I likely have 3 or more here, but... where did I use each last? I can always pop over to Harbor Freight and get one cheap, there is one within a mile or two. Likely faster/easier than finding one I already have.

I guess it would be join the two reds together, and the two blacks together. And still use the blues for output.

I Concur the transformer could be used for 220 or 110 so the proper hook up is two blacks together with black on 110 plug .two reds with white .and green to the transformer housing . other side of transformer use the two blue for the machine inputs 24 volt ac so doesn't matter which to which and tape off the yellow .

Went and got a pair of meters, and of course other things I didn't need but seemed like bargains at Harbor Freight. Came home and put it all together.

Here's the initial power-on via YouTube. I took the video with my camera on the side, and then rotated the video but the audio was a little flakey in the container. Once I get it cased and put somewhere I'll likely do a better vid with actual usage. I didn't load it with balls as I didn't want to chase them all over

So to answer the question about does video display on the phone, it's as I expected, a clear window that falls through to the LCD screen which mimics a cell phone pic. The phone apparently 'vibrates' by shaking when it rings, and a heart comes out of nowhere sometimes.

It looks like the top part of the screen is cut off in the video, but I think that's more due to the camera angle being high than the video being hidden but the framework. While there is some trim, it's not a full half row like the video appears to show.

Tomorrow (well... later today since it's almost 3am) I plan on running out and getting some lumber to build a cabinet. I've discovered that a key was not inside the packing of this one although one was advertised with it. That means either I'll have to leave a hole, make a string to pull the door lever, or not put a back on the case. That's the plan anyway, things are subject to change without notice.

I did go around to the stores tonight looking for something I could modify for a cabinet, but it seems there would almost be as much work to modify one as there would be to make one. So I'll try to make one. It seems shipping for the pre-built ones is a bit higher than it should be. Or... maybe I'm too cheap

Picked up a "new" Nishijin today, it was less than an hour away. The backboard shows either water, condensation, or possibly oil/wax issues around every peg. I'd almost think it was repeatedly taken in/out in cold if it is condensation, otherwise I'd think it would have had to be oil or wax that was put on the pegs that the backing absorbed. I haven't done much with it except to take it out of the upright cabinet and carry it in. The upright cabinet is fairly well designed for a pachinko, it has seen better days but could be revived quite a bit with sanding/refinishing. The back has some wiring modifications that I'll need to redo I think. I'll post pics of the cabinet later if anyone wants to see it.

Didn't know where else to throw it so I put it here. $75 for it and the cabinet, plus whatever gas it took me to get from here to there and back.

A very complete looking Model A machine! Congrats!!

The water stains look typical for a machine of that vintage. The parlors used to take the machines out to the alley and use a scrub brush with soapy water on the play fields to clean them. There is a video on YouTube that shows them doing it. Many of us believe that is where most of the water stains come from.

The Tom and Jerry that came in last night. Didn't have fun sweeping up peanuts that wanted to cling to my broom rather than be scooped in a shovel. Got it done tho. Opened it outside as I really couldn't get a grip on the outside box to carry it in.

Looked all over for the power switch. It is hidden behind a cluster of wires in the bottom right. As an added bonus, it came with volume controls.

I carted the Nishijin up from the 1st floor to the 3rd and put it in its cabinet. The cabinet is pretty old and could use sanded/refinished, but is basically in decent shape and fits the pachinko well. I think it's likely a bathroom cabinet. They put a pair of U shaped wood blocks on each side and a wood bar between them to lock the pachinko in. The edges of the front have slight cutouts for the hinges.
Here's some pics of the cabinet and pachinko... and some surrounding elements. After shrinking the pics to post here, I noticed I forgot to put the back on the cabinet, so I did that too, it has little metal divots in the top that mach little balls that hang down from the cabinet, and pegs in the bottom that insert into holes in the cabinet so it clicks in fairly nicely.

The floor up there should someday be leveled. It's not playable right now due to the angle, I'll have to shim it up a bit. That floor up there has lumpy carpet... which is also why I'm looking at flooring for up there. This is the opposite end of the room from the pachinko wall I'm building.

Been a while since I posted here... Got a 'new' machine... haven't done anything with it other than take pics and clean the mouse poo out of the tray... after taking pics of course. I plugged it in and flipped it on, the red "STOP" thing in the corner lights. That's about all I've done with it beside carrying it upstairs.
