Default Found old Nishijin Shiroi Kamome in basement, information greatly appreciated

I found this pachinko machine in my basement. I'm not sure if it works, or how old it is, or pretty much anything...I would love to know more about it, and get it working. Any information on how old it is, what exactly it is, or just general comments would be greatly appreciated. The words on the front of the machine says Nishijin Shiroi Kamome...the wooden case is very old looking...I'm thinking it might be anywhere from the 50's to 70s??? thanks

    attached is the picture...thanks

    Welcome to PachiTalk!

I have a similar machine with the JAL Airplane in the center. Yours in better condition than mine. Its a Nishijin B model. Read the "Sticky" threads at the top of the "Vintage Pachinko" forum to learn more about the different types/models.

I dated mine to around 1974. Yours is probably pretty close.

By the way, how do you just "find" a Pachinko Machine in your basement?!

    Hang on!!! Brb

Just rushed to my basement. Nope. Nothing there

    Welcome aboard

    Ace looking machine.
I must admit strange place to find a machine. At least not to far to collect it. Hope you have a couple of hundred to a thousand balls.

I should have added a basement when I built my house. Oh well I guess I will have to come by pachinkos the hard way.

Darn, I checked my basement and it's empty too. How does he get so lucky! I'll check my neighbors and see if they'll let me rummage through theirs...you never know?

Thanks for all the information!!! While I asked my mom about it, and she thinks she bought it at a garage sale in North Dakota in the 80s and its been hidden in our basement ever since. She didn't know what it was but bought it because it "looked cool" and it was super cheap because it was at a garage sale. So now it looks like I have a fun project to work on over Christmas break. THANKS EVERYBODY
