    Default the Pachinko Book

here is a link to my .mac gallery, with pix of the book open to show 2 pages at a time.

    http://gallery.me.com/erdoc#100074

    this book spans 1940 - 1984

emmadog has gotten the first 17 pages translated and has up to page 38 coming.

I have a colleague working on 38 to the end. I asked her for the timeline around page 52 first.

it's a great book if you ever see it on YJA. this one is in mint condition, except for the smoke, but I guess that makes it authentic for a pachinko parlor, right

I will add the translations over time.

well. I will figure out a way to put the translations next to the pages, to be most useful.

the easiest would be to alternate the translated pages with the original, but I will have to see.

my new colleague, someone I met through my new job, has offered to help, so combined with emmadog's we should have the whole thing translated in a couple months.

yeah, aren't the pix great? only improvement would have been the backs! you know how we pachifolks want to see the mechanicals!!

say, if anyone has the back of any of these machines, or a similar vintage, send them to me, and we will improve the reference by having the fronts AND backs

Thumbs up Re: the Pachinko Book

Thanks for the pic's from the book!!! The picture of the single shot (third row, third from the left) is practically identical to one of my Nishijin single shots...same cell, pockets, nail layout and payout tray. The center payout feature is different along with the ball diverter tube. Great pictures!

send me a picture of the back, so I can start adding the mechanicals to the pictures.

    PM of email address coming.

will post first set of translations, courtesy of emmadog, once I figure out the best way from a word doc to the uploadable picture... maybe pdf?
