    Question vintage sanyo actuator/release issue

So, the machine was a birthday gift from my awesome wife. Literally all that was needed was some chrome polish and a bit of plastic cleaner/polish. After reaquainting myself with the 'rules' of what had to be full etc for the machine to function properly the thing screamed. took all of an hour.
So we were having a birthday party for the kid, and *sigh* now the metal spring actuator (?) part 24 slips behind/under the plastic ball release (part 23). This only occurs if the handle up front is pressed down "too far" it's not really too far as the machine cranked swimmingly before under both soft and 'hard' shots. unfortunately I can't tell in the 'manual' if the actuator is even in the right spot, so I may just be assuming that it was like that.

Forgive me if I'm not using the correct terminology, but I can just flip the little actuator back behind the release and it works, but I don't want to have to regulate how hard someone shoots. I'm too busy rackin up jackpots for that nonsense . Prolly something easy so I posted a video for the pachi-masters

    YouTube - pachi45
(dont know if bbcode on this board allows embedded vids)

PS the skill stop next to the Sanyo in the video is a Dynamite Pachislo..which I acquired in a nice trade before moving into our new home. 1 1966 Volkswagen bug with no brakes and spotty electrical for a pachislo skill stop and a new rifle.

Any chance that the low ball gate is popping up and blocking the balls?

Or, could the ball path be blocked.

Open the front window, then there's a switch to open the ball feed door. It might be dirty or have something stuck in there.

The lever itself sounded fine on your video. I think the balls aren't dropping down to the hammer spring

Let us know your progress. Nice sanyo.

i have had machine wher the wire that is attached to the shooter ame was bent a bit... it ok to bend it little bits so it will stay on the ball advace arm (the white plastic piece..

you vid is a bit quick on the shooter action... if your still having trouble tray another vid... but pull the shooter slowly down so its is easier to see the action..

on the fron of your machine you had several balls stuck within the nails...

one of two things.. you will either need to adjust your nails or most likly move the glass from the front slot to the back slot...

open your door and you will see there are 2 tracks for glass.. my guess is your is on the front slot.. the one closest to the player.. if you only using one piece of glass/plexi/ it should be in the back slot closest to the cell

cool guys will try all that and post a vid if it's still wonky.

RE: the stuck balls, I had the machine tilted forward a bit to get behind it, they fall ok when it's upright and bracketed. But i will check which track it's on.

thanks for the replies, I'll post back.

well, I bent the metal retainer/actuator and it now stays with the release through a full depression of the shooter arm, ran a quick 250 through...purely for testing of course and it's back to normal. I'm attaching a pic of the mechanism in question just to verify with you's that it's in the right spot:

    Nice looking machine!

    That's the guy
I think folks with 2 or more balls but less then enough to set the machine for play figure out that wire feeds the next ball. They mess around with it, not realizing that there top hopper is just out

I think Mopar had a butterfly machine at one point.

Hmmm... I couldn't open my config.sys with Edlin. Anyone know the proper syntax for that?

I have had that shirt for years and every time I put it on I get asked what it says at least 3 or 4 times.
one time I had someone stop me, look at it for a few seconds, he thought to himself for a bit then started laughing.
He was such a geek he knew what it said! Then H bought me a beer!
