Smile November is "Random Act of Kindness" Month

November is "Random Act of Kindness" Month.

Your task is to perform one totally random act of kindness to a total stranger each week during the month, and post back to this thread what you did and what the stranger's reaction was.

It could be something very simple or totally extreme - the choice is yours.

Together, we can all help make the world a much happier place during the month of November, and hopefully beyond!

I was taught to do acts of kindness year round.

thats what being a gentleman is all about

if you see someone in need, help them

open or hold doors for ladies

always say thank you even to salespersons waiting on you

it makes the world a better place

    I'm up for that challenge...

Two days ago in the Kmart parking lot, a shopping cart got away from an elderly woman and made it's way from the upper end of the parking lot all the way back to the store... it had a few bags in it and a big box with a microwave oven, luckily it didn't crash into anything. I waited by the basket, as the woman was on her way back and I didn't want her to think I was making off with her stuff. She seemed surprised that I walked with her back to her car (about ten cars beyond mine) and held the basket while she unloaded it. I offered to unload it for her, but she declined. We engaged in small talk and she was very appreciative. I then took the cart and returned it back to the store for her so she didn't have to make that trip again.

A very easy thing to do for someone... she said I was a very nice young lady!

This morning I went beyond all of those things you mention Lucky Dog, which I do daily as well.

I was at a Starbucks and I saw a member of the armed forces in line behind me, so I paid for his coffee, then shook his hand and thanked him for serving our country.

He was a bit stunned and very appreciative, and I think it made his day!

I think the PachiTalk membership has shown time and again that most of us are full of goodwill towards others. This is the perfect opportunity to make a conscious effort to go above and beyond normal politeness and niceties!
