Will do. Or of course he hasn't said he has one yet, but I assume he has a good supply of them. I might just hit you up on the fusebox, i think the one on the right (dark blue) is the closest one.

Ace hardware carries 'E' clips in many sizes. I get all of mine there.

Thanks Jack, just where I was planning on going.

Mopar, yeah the one below the fusebox i assume you mean. The kit comes with 2 bulbs I think, but most of these machines need 3?? Hopefully one of the other 2 bulbs work...

Got the clip for the rod (Ace calls it a C Clip, not E or Circlip).
Saw a couple different 7 volt bulbs, but they also look like Christmas tree bulbs. Had clear and white.

Curious about how the vintage machines received power, I know there are differences between US and Japan, but since these bulbs are ow voltage, did the parlors have a voltage reducer to power the lights for the machines?
I can't see where the power even hooked up, did it go directly to the small fuse box?

a screw in flash light bulb is what your looking for... voltage depends on power source.

yes power goes direct into the little fuse block via 2 of the 3 screws.. my guess is back in the day the parlor had a step down that put out 10 volts for all the machines..

Wonder if pulling on the spring to make it 'longer' would help. Just an idea if you're going to replace it anyway.

Could try it. I am in the process of taking the Pachinko apart somewhat for cleaning. Right now I have the front door off, the trim piece at the bottom of the playing field, and am working on the heavier castings (ash tray and collect cup). Am wondering which product is best for the castings?
Am planning on leaving the track (the one the balls follow after you shoot them) alone, I can see what would be involved in removing it.

Here are pics of the progress so far today (think I'm done for now).
Asking opinions on the metal casting. I think I have it so it just matches the aluminum panel surrounding it. I just want it to look nice/normal, not overdone. There is a white stripe with Japanese letters set in to it, I will plan on respraying that stripe, it is only nice in a few stretches.
The glass door is off. That's on the "to do" list.
Behind the plastic panels there were paper inserts. The one above the shooting lever was waterstained. I have tried a light bleach solution and it may have helped a tiny bit, it is drying now.
Also seeking opinions on if I should repaint the light yellow wooden front, you can see it's darkened. I have tried cleaning it only a small amount.

I decided to do a little more on it after supper. Got everything cleaned and back on except the glass door and the tray, as I am painting the white stripe back on. I think I am done with paint, will just need to polish or sand the tops of the letters off. Should look good.

I don't see how to edit posts here!

Wanted to ask, on that second picture of the "dinger", is that supposed to have 2 bells? There is a space and a rivet for a second bell. No obvious signs of damage. Weird.

I have done a bit of cleaning to the playing field. The "track" is absolutely filthy! How far down do most guys take this apart? Not reallpy looking towards pulloing out every single nail! I did take the "C" shaped chrome piece above the red center light off the board to polish it, was only held on with 2 nails.

I've never removed the 'track.' I always just polish with Nevr-dull.

Just a pic of the cup piece. I could take the paint off the high spots above and below the painted area (the 2 ridges) with my finger nail, and you can see I did the same with one of the "boxes" in the strip, so if I can keep doing that it will have been an easy project.

Got some stuff ordered last night and I have a notice that the stuff is shipped already. Got the PDF electrical manual and looked through that already.
The manual discusses the "feeder tray empty" light, and how there are other ways to know your feeder tray is empty. I wonder if mine has an unusual feature: in addition to the light, a small door slides closed to prevnt the play from loading another ball. Remember this is a single shot.

Big honey-do list today so don't know if I'll get anything else done today.

While there are many here who take the machine all the way down to the bare plywood, I stop at the track and nails, opting to NOT remove them. I clean the front ball launch track with #000 steel wool and then wipe down with a rag dampened with 409, and I clean the nails with a Miracle Polishing Cloth: miracle polishing cloth items - Get great deals on Jewelry Watches, Home Garden items on eBay.com!
