Default Newbie question about accessing ball paths

I'm pretty new to pachinko so this may seem like a silly question

How difficult is it to access the ball path in moderns? Whenever I see the pic of the back of one all I see is circuit boards. I'm asking because I'm thinking of purchasing my first modern but with my landlords living directly above me I have to be mindful of noise. So I plan on adding some strategically placed pieces of rubber to the ball path. This really helped with my classic and was easy to do. I'm just wondering how much more difficult this would be on a modern, which will probably be Super Sea Story.

I know someone is going to suggest that I just find a different place, but I really like my place.

    Any help is appreciated.

Just curious. Relative to the bells, which wake the dead around my place, the balls rolling on the tracks isn't really going to bug neighbors... is it?

    And... WELCOME

    Like the K-On! avatar...

On a modern, with the sounds of the shooter, the balls hitting the glass, the music and other misc. sounds, the ball path noise will be the least of your worries.

Volume controls are a must as the default volume is loud - louder - OMG my ears are bleeding.

Thanks for the welcome and the replies.

Honeslty I'm not even sure if it will be a problem. I'm just trying to plan my options in case it is. I know I can add volume controls for the speakers so I'm not worried about that, I did forget about the ball shooter though.

I guess I'll just continue to watch Craigslist. After I find one if my landlord starts yelling I guess I'll have my answer . They haven't noticed my vintage yet so hopefully it will be the same for my modern (hope I didn't jinx myself).

I wish it wasn't so hard to find a good modern on Craigslist where the person isn't a total flake. Tom Petty was right about the waiting being the hardest part.

It's good that you are familiar with the volume controls...you WILL need them. The volume on my first pachinko nearly blew me into the next room. So, I think with your landlord in such close proximity it will be a question of when, not if to install them.

Funny thing is I don't even know when I'll get a modern but I've already ordered volume controls for it. I'd hate to find one and have to wait to play it, that would be torture.

I'd kill for a K-On or Lucky Star machine, please don't tell me they don't exist because a person needs to dream.

Welcome aboard. My advice to you is put it in a cabinet & use the volume controls as everyone else posted. I have a Super Sea Story machine & the loudest part besides the audio is emptying the balls from the trays back into the machine. I would refrain from playing it at 2am & you shouldn't have any problems.
