power supply query

Hi, members,
ive just started work on my pachinko and ive got a query about the power suppy?? i have an earth cable tied up with an elastic band in the cabinet and just wondered , do you connect the earth cable on the transformer case ?

are you talking about a modern or vintage pachinko?

moderns do usually have a ground wire to the case.

vintage usually do not need a ground.

My star wars didn't have the earth connected when I got it. I can't find a good point to put it. As the fronts plastic and the frame is wood. But I haven't looked that hard yet

there should be an earth hanging from the machine and one on your mains plug join um together if you have an open transformer if not join to the transformer case

The 'earth' line is more to remove the static electricity built up by the moving pachinko balls. It's normally connected to several metal plates in the ball path to ground them out.
