Erratic Payouts

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing erratic payouts?

When I got the Disco Queen it worked perfect for a couple of days. I turned it off last night and everything was working fine. This morning I turned it on and played for a while then noticed it hadn't given me any balls!! So I checked all the tracks, nothing is stuck. I took off parts in the back so I could get into the tracks and be sure there is nothing in there causing the balls to stick. It seems to me that SOMETIMES the solenoid isn't activating each time I should get a payout. I can gently smack the machine on the side and it will start paying out again but then will stop after a little while. Is there something that might need a shot of oil? I don't find any loose electrical connections but could be overlooking something. Any ideas?

This was one of the scratch and dent deals from Texas Auctions and I haven't called them about this yet, hoping I can just fix it myself with perhaps a little help and suggestions from you guys and gals here.

check the connection to the solinoid motor, it may not be making contact.

a little non-conductive silicone lube in the solinoid and make sure the plunger is nice and clean. should be fine !!
