The Pachislo Bible being sold on E-Bay

I hope one of our fellow members is not selling this item on E-Bay, but here are the facts about buying from this person. Prior to becoming a member on this site I purchased this book ( CD ) using Submit Best Offer price of $20.95 plus shipping, he accepted and it was paid for by Pay-Pal the same day February 08,2005. As of today and four e-mails later I still do not have the book, his response is the first book got lost in the mail, 12 days latter no second book, his response is give five more days and if not received by then he will ship one UPS with tracking. I can get a machine shipped in less time than this. Whats the deal here, I gave him my phone number to call me so I can discuss and get a good feeling that I not going to be scammed.
So if this is a member lets talk and get this corrected, if not a member here on Pachi-talk, all of us should use caution buying from this person.

The seller is Dave Helmig. While he is a registerd user here, you won't find him here.

He runs pachislocity.com. The original members here started there. We didn't like what was going on, so we opened this place up. Are you being scammed? Either that, or he's just being lazy about sending it. I believe he only sends this on a CD, not an actual hard back book.

While I've never read it myself, others have said it's filled with a lot of old information. I really doubt you'll find anything of major value in it. JMHO

Once the money is transferred, I don't think you can get it back with any kind of charge back. You can put in a complaint to PayPal and get him kicked off there if he's doing it regularly.

Sounds to me like he's just being slow. Give him a few more days and I'll bet the CD comes in . :wink:

I wouldn't trust that guy any farther that I could throw him. In fact, I'd like to throw him.

When I signed up for his pachislocity.com site he promised 2 free months. Turned out that you only got the 2 free months at the END of your subscription. That is, you had to quit to get the 2 free months. That in itself was a bit of a scam. But on top of that when I did quit he didn't give me the 2 free months. I tired emailing him several times. No reply. I finally reported it to PayPal. He then lied to PayPal and said I didn't join during a period when the 2 free months were being offered. Using Internet archiving sites I proved to PayPal that I was owed 2 free months. But, PayPay said since it was a "virtual" product, they couldn't do anything about it.

To go to that much trouble to deliberately cheat someone out of a measly six bucks worth of service, you've got to be a creep of the first order. The sad thing is that it would have actually cost him nothing to live up to his part of the bargain. And had he done that some people might have ended up belonging to both sites. But, given the size of that list of people that he cheated, I don't think there's anyone left to belong to his site.

So, on your missing book (or CD), I don't think there's once chance in a million that he actually sent it and it was lost in the mail. He probably didn't even send it the second time. When you do finally get it, it would be very interesting to look at the postmark date.

if you paid with a credit or debit card cancel the order. otherwise write it off and if it ever shows up it wil be a bonus, a disapointing bonus, but a bonus nonetheless.

PayPal shut his account over the "free two month" subscription thing.
He re-opened another account with a different name... just so he could continue to lure people in to giving him 2.99/mo. with the false promises on his opening page. Some people don't know how to stop a subscription. The "Scam Free" banner he flies on the opening page is a farce. You have to PAY Scam Free to report him.

Bottom line...
Get your money back, before it's too late!!!
Document, document, document.
File the complaint with PayPal ASAP!!!
Your time is running out.

Well, you all know this guys inner workings, after I requested Pay-pal to credit my account and gave him bad feedback on ebay. Within 24 hours I get a response from Pay-pal that my account has been refunded, along with the refund a note from the mystery seller saying if I receive the (CD) please send him his money. This note makes feel just maybe he did send the item and US the mail did loose the item like he said. Then today he responds to his feedback BEWARE of the buyer (ME) because he has a tracking number and the item was delivered. This guy is such a lier, if he had a tracking number why he did not share with the buyer (ME). I went to his site, he wants to give you two free months after you pay what a scam that is. I hope this guy is not selling any other items under a different name on EBay and HOOKS me again on a bigger item.

if he gave paypal tracking number, they would have checked it and not given you your money back if tracking said it was delivered.

i had a ebay buyer say she didn't get her 30.00 item and wanted her paypal payment back,

i sent paypal tracking number and they would not refund her money, but they put a lock on the 30.00 in my account till it got fixed.

I'd dispute the negative feedback with ebay too! They've kicked this guy off their system more times than my ex changed her hair color!

This is why the user title, "scam artist" is reserved for just one member.

If you decide to dispute the feedback with eBay tell them you can supply a list of other people that he has cheated and then lied about when they complained. If you need me to, I'd be happy to send them an email once you've established direct contact with a specifice customer service rep.

Forward that email he sent you about "IF you get it" to eBay, once you establish a contact there!
Reference THAT as proof they should remove any negative he might post against YOU saying that you DID get it... as well as cancel his account!

Don't give up... don't take his scam!
eBay will give you a run-around... keep on them.

And if it DOES arrive... check the postmark date!!!
Copy it... or scan it... and use that for further proof. Chances are, IF you get the package... it will be postmarked AFTER all of this went down! But I doubt you'll see anything.
