After decades of lying dormant deep within my mind, my childhood dreams of owning and driving such a car have been stirred from their slumber - all thanks go to Sid!! I am once again lusting for and obsessing over this pipe dream now that I am aware a company has made it (very) remotely possible for me to own one.

Last night I did something I haven't done in many years... I bought a lottery ticket with the sole intention of buying one of these replicas with my winnings.

All day long I was trying to rationalize making such an impulse purchase; how would I justify spending so much money on something that would depreciate slowly and probably sit on display or in the garage more that I would drive it. Then I started thinking about how I could make a side business out of it by charging for appearances:

New store opening? Need something to get the public's attention? Come see the Batmobile - Live and in person!!

Grand prize in a sweepstakes contest: Ride in the Batmobile for up to an hour

I could charge an hourly 'appearance' fee to help recoup the costs.

Plus I could drive it for personal use and pleasure nearly anytime I wanted to...
