HE Error-Hopper Issue

I have an unusual HE error message coming up on the Super BlackJack. I put in 50 tokens to show 50 credits and play by putting in tokens, but when the awards come, it spits out twice on the award, but jams up and throws a hopper error message. I tried it by putting it on cash play 3 tokens and on any award it spits out twice on the award and jams up with a HE codfe. There are plenty of tokens in the hopper. Any ideas ? Also, I can't remember how you change odds on this machine. My other Super BlackJack doesnt have this issue.

Sounds like a Dirty / mis-aligned / damaged sensor assembly in the hopper. If you have two machines with the same hopper, swap hoppers and see if the error still occurs. If it does not then that hopper needs to be taken apart and cleaned and or repaired.

Let us know what you find. If you need Pic's of how to dissemble the hopper and clean it I can take them and post them here.

I swapped out a hopper from another Super Black Jack and there was a red wire in the hopper harness that had a loose molex connector. A little epoxy and it is as good as new. Thank you. The odds reset has to be easy, I just can't find the button to change the number that appears in the credit window. Thank you for the input.

a lot of times it amy be on the inside of the door, or you may have to lift a clear plastic flap on a board somewhere to get to it.

It's inside the door, at the very top, to the left of the long ribbon cable. It's the button on the left. The button on the right takes you into the menu. (if I remember these right)

The Odds set button is the red square button just under the key on the power supply.

1, Pachi turned off
2. Turn key on the power supply.
3. Turn Pachi on
4. Number on the outside of the door should be between 1 - 6
5. Push the square red button under the key on the power supply until desired number 1 - 6 is selected.
6. Hold Spin Knob for 5 seconds and release.
7. Turn the key back on the power supply and the odds are set.
