Question Need to identify circut board components

I need to duplicate this circut board I found on Pachitalk. Can anyone identify any of the various components needed to duplicate this circut board? Hopefully, I attached the picture of the circut board i need to make.

What is it from? What does it do?

My guess is a timer or counter.

Who owns the item in the pic?

Looks like you need four diodes, two electrolytic capacitor, one disc capacitor, six(?) resistors, and a chip(555?)

What is really needed is a higher resolution picture of both sides to be sure.

If you can discribe the boards function(s) and the specifications of the components connected to it than it may be reproducible without.

Use the paperclip(Attachments) option to add a better pic. Use PhotoBucket.com(free) and use -Insert Link- to add even bigger pics.

Can you make it yourself or do you need it made?

The missing circuit board is from a vintage Sankyo Max power Tulips machine I bought at a local flea market. It should have a 24v power supply connected to the circut board. It is wired from a micro switch at the bottom of the machine (payout..i think) and is wired to the component that opens and closes the tulips (to the right of where the curcuit board should be. If I can get all the parts needed to build the board I may try to do it myself but I'm not very experienced...definitely a beginner so I may be interested in having it made. Thanks for the Photobucket tip. I hope it worked. I'm a beginner at downloading pics, too!

There are board repair shops that specialize in what you need done. I've had it done to a couple of boards. The components are cheap so you're mostly paying for the labor. Just do a google search for circuit board repair, etc. If you choose to have someone else do it.

Oh OK, much better pics. Forget the above list, I blew the picture up with the browser and guessed at the shadows.

Five diodes, two electrolytic capacitors, four resistors, two transistors and a trim potentiometer. The large transistor is an obsolete NPN. The four diodes together form a bridge rectifier(AC to DC) the fifth is to counter the reverse voltage spike from the coil of the solenoid, one 2k2(RRR) and one 5k6(GBR) ohm resistor. Still need other views to identify the other component values.

It is easier to figure out the circuit diagram if you mirror the top image with a photoeditor.(click thumbnail to enlarge - that is the other way to add pics)

Try a local electronics supply shop(not RadioShack) or a TV repair shop. Some will not be helpful(at all) but I have found a few to be more than willing to help, some may even fiddle it together for you. Another source of sometimes helpful people is the local robotics club. Emmadogs place does great work but it comes at an equally great price. There are less than $10 in parts (even at single component prices) in that piece.

You could also replace the whole thing with a one shot timer(555 based) and a relay if the tulips close after a time or with another switch. If it just opens them with one switch and closes them with another you could use a latching relay.

    Good luck with it.

The more I think about it, the more i like the timer idea. Ought to add an interesting twist to the game. Hope to get that done this week. Wish me luck. Thanks again for all you help.

Do you think this timer would possibly work?
