PinWiz.. you are da man! I just couldn't convince myself to loosen a few screws thinking I'd mess something up and was thinking it should be really simple cause these lights had to go out and be replaced. But I wasn't brave enough to make the attempt with further instruction.

After reading your post, I thought, this dude knows what he's taking about and he stated it very simply. No complex instructions.. just screws (with the implied D.A.).

So.. I looked at it closer and upon inspection there were only TWO screws holding the belly glass piece on. Unscrews those, unplug the ballast circuit and the whole 'light box' comes off. A couple of screws on the frame and it came apart exposing the bad bulb. It's a little late to go grab a lamp tonight.. but when I come home tomorrow I will have the lamp!

    Thanks again PW!

The belly light now works! Woo Hoo!

I wanted to know the payout/odds of my machine so I searched the net to find the formula for calculating Slot Machine Odds and came up with the information. I have this an easily modifyable Excel Spreadsheet so if you want it, just PM me and I'll send it to you.

Ok..that didn't work! lol It looked good in the Post Quick Reply box with the border shading and everthing. Sigh.

Basically the machine has a 90.30% return with 15,625 possible stops and of those 1,057 are possible winning stops.

Well, with a little assitance from a gentleman on newlifegames.com website I was able to resolve the 2nd coin non-reset issue. I just needed to adjust (read "bend") a leaf switch to make contact like it should and now all works like it should!

Thanks to all who offered advice and assistance!

Nah.. Got the cam about 6 years ago when they first came out. It has a FireWire connection. I have a FireWire card in my Desktop PC but haven't used it in years so I just haven't tried to tackle that task yet. I may get to it this week.

Wrkey thanks for those urls for manuals i found a manual for a bally 831 slot i just picked up .most of the problems i had where like yours and once the machine was lubed and the contacts cleaned the main problems where caused by the jacks at the back of the machine where the components plugged in when inserted back into the cabinet i cleaned them with deox and they work flawlessly now . these are great machines that should out last me and probably my kids no plastic components in this machine ... internally my machine looks a lot like yours but mine dates to around 1968 and is still functioning great all i need now is to find a door lock and the door side locking rail .looks like someone removed the lock and took the rail off so the door couldn't be lock closed . probably lost the keys... my pay off and reel glasses are flaking but Ive already located new glasses on ebay for it and they are fairly cheap about $15 a piece .not bad considering i picked up the machine for $125.00 Thanks again
