Default Sankyo Butterfly & Type B Olympics

My haul from this weekend. The weekend started out bad on Friday, after looking at some fuzzy pics on CL, I drove an hour and a half to find a Nishijin B clown rusted out, missing parts and glass and some parts painted non-original. Then, Sunday Success!!! . A Sankyo with a butterfly on it. Decent shape, broken glass, and the main attraction had been smashed in, probably when someone hit the glass... . I've got it back to working condition, to include the lights. Main attraction fixed, tulip which was causing the problems now working right. Pics below, I've got a few hours in it, and yes, half of the nails are shined (on top) still working on the rest. The big news... Monday, I got a Nishijin B Sophia with an Olympic theme from the 1976 Olympics . I paid $25 for it, yes there is some water damage on the cell, and some paint is missing, etc. But I need a winter project, and with all the advice on Pachitalk, it should be restorable.

Nothing fancy, regular tulips, one ball to open, one to close, and can be opened from the back. Pics attached.

Very nice vintages. The sankyo looks nearly factory fresh. The olympics theme is great. I love Nishijin. Beware though, if you ever do a background replacement, it will take ahold of you.

There is no better feeling of satisfaction than taking an old dingy background and putting a new one on. It is a LOT of work, but it is also not very difficult. Plus many of here have been through it and can lead you through the fire. Once you are on the other end, however, you'll feel amazing and you'll have another machine that looks like it travelled forward in time much like that Sankyo looks now.
