Default Any complete home-built pachinko machines?

Has anyone heard anything about a complete home-built modern pachinko machine?

I have a pair of vintage machines that I've already cleaned up and built cabinets for. That leaves me with enough space on the wall for one more machine. I was originally thinking about putting a modern one there (the Top Gun machine is particularly enticing). But then I saw the story of someone building their own pinball machine: The Official Blog of Benjamin J Heckendorn

It's put the idea in my head that I could just try to make my own pachinko machine (probably Family Guy themed, as my wife and I both love the show). I know it's a fairly ambitious project, but it would probably be a lot of fun. I was wondering if anyone else has attempted this, and if there's any resources that would help me.

Love the pinball link, but Bill Paxton? Really??? WTH...

As for building, I think people are more likely to modify an existing machine with new playfield graphics than start from scratch. Older
machines are good for this as you don't need to worry about LCD
graphics not matching up. You see this on a lot of older Pachislo
machines too... I've seen everything from NY Yankees and Patriots
to "Las Vegas" themed conversions - anything to sell into a particular
    game room theme.

Love the idea, but they need to use a different theme. Perhaps Bill Paxton in Near Dark.

    WELCOME!!!

People have talked about building pachis in the past, but I think usually vintage..I hope you go for it, it would be awesome to see come together...Even though I can't stand Family Guy!!

As for Bill Paxton, I think he's coolest in Terminator!!

I bought a modern frame on YJA, cheap one buck, but end up over 100$ with the shipping. Also bought parts and so on, over 40 pounds of nails, lol ready to build one. just don't have enough time to do it. The Powerflash is still disassembled everywhere and I don't have time to put it back together heheh

I learned to clone some vintage tulips have to cut the metal base by hand.. I would like to find a level activated tulip (not solenoid) all made of plastic, so I can clone it and have one with a base in plastic too..

lot of projects.. not enough time.. I plan to make my own cells..
