    Welcome to PachiTalk!

That's a really clean looking vintage single shot you have there! Can you post some pictures of the back, as well as a close-up of the play field and any stickers that are on it? That would help us to identify your machine.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

That is indeed quite a beautiful machine but I'm pretty sure it's quite a bit newer than '29. I'd guess based on other similar machines that it's early 60's.
Anyway, if there's nothing obviously wrong with it then you need to get some balls to run through it. It's usually just a matter of cleaning up the innards and making some adjustments if like I said, there's no missing parts or damage.
The best way for us to help you get it up and running is for you to post pics of the back of the machine (and the front too, I'm particularly fond of machines from this era) and describe in detail any problems you are experiencing.

Hmm.. I'm guessing you get the date from something you've seen on the frame somewhere? Does it look something like this?

    昭 和 29 ?

Showa 29 (as this time period refers to in the Meji Japanese calendar) would be 1954 in our clock.
There is always another machine around the corner...
