Hi there!
well, I am new in here, and also in Pachinko world
I am living in Japan, and doing video shooting for my video creations
but, as some of you might know, it is forbidden to video shoot in pachinko places.. I have already contacted some places, but they all refused
so, I would like to know if some of you have any suggestions about places that allows you to film inside the pachinko/pachislo in Tokyo...
would be really nice if you could help out about that

Sorry i can't help with your question, although I have seen youtube videos so some people are filming in the Parlours, but probably not with permission??

Hopefully other members can offer advice to you

i have heard of the filming restrictions too,but have seen videos as well. maybe they used a spy cam or got some video surveillance footage from a parlor employee.

and the hard thing is I work as a freelance, so I don't really have a proper meishi or press card or whatever professional status id it could be...
then when I come with a real pro tripods and cam, they all get freaked, and say... sumimaseeeeen
c'mooooon!

Sorry you can't catch a break! But like others, I have seen vids inside parlors, so it can be done, but obviously, you want to go about it in the right way. I would probably just keep calling, you may get lucky and find one that will allow it.

Is there a law that prohibits filming? ..are the parlors suspect of your intentions??? is it a patron privacy issue? Anyway, good luck in your venture.

We have several members that live in Japan... but your question is very unique and I'm not sure you will find the info you are seeking.

I tried again, two days ago, went there, with a huuuuge smile, showing that I was sooo amazed by the place... and asked "oh, I am foreign, and want to shoot for my blog"
they just answered that most of the customers don't want to be shot... so, no way
I wish I had a press card or something..

No way to get in 'after hours' for a shoot? Just to show what it looks like? I realize you miss the full atmosphere thing, but they might be more willing then.

Could be like Atlantic City is here, or Vegas , I don't think they allow footage in those casinos ... pachinko may not really be like gambling,, but ...
