Those are the rules I live by.
If its something I really really want. I'll put a stupidly high bid. But then thats normally down to personal reasons and not market value.

Yes if I want I want it I generally buy it. Case in Point my machine arriving next Monday from Japan. Paid dearly but I really like the graphics. It is just an arepachi but it will look good with my collection. Some things are easy to pass on. Sooner or later.

Bid the highest amount you are willing to pay, sit back, and let the auction run it's course. If you win, great, if you lose, no big deal, it must have went for more than you are willing to pay.

If you were really willing to pay more, then you should have bid whatever you were willing to pay.

I do the old fashion way , I bid a dollar or two above the current bid price then i mark in my note book when the auction will end for that item and I always set a ceiling of how much i will go to for That Item . It is a True Buyer's market out there . If you Really want an item that is on a reserve contact the seller to offer your maximum amount and see if they , the seller will go for it and end the auction early
When things don't go right the 1st time , Step back ,Take a break and come back renewed. RGS

Okay...Heres one. Except its in CA and you're in NJ.

It took me 6 months of hunting for one before I finally scored. Be patient!

Maybe some of our CA members can help you out?!

It has the tell-tale signs of a "C" model from the front, but I've seen similar fronts with "B" backs. During that time, there seemed to be some hybrids that were produced...it wouldn't surprise me if that too was a "B" model...Just to be sure, I would email the seller and get him to post a photo of the back.

    Just my 2 cents...
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

hum, I thought Model C's didn't have the ball "deflector" in that the ball would drop down the side of the machine if the ball was shot too hard ??

please correct me if I am mistaken Thanks!!

it seems to me that most... not all "B" machines have the bumper like this one, to bounce the ball back onto the play field..

and most but not all "C" machines have a Foul pocket to make the player reshoot the over shot sphear..

also it seems most but not all "C" machines tell the payout quanity in the upper right corner.. viea a large colored 11 or 13...

of course there are exceptions to everything Pachinko but this should help your search

It never hurts to email the seller right after the auction is over if you lose or if reserve wasn't met. If the winner backs out and if they want to get rid of it that bad they can contact you direct.

I've learned alot from all your posts !! I really appreciate it. I know it was my own mistakes that resulted in my loss . I do understand that, and I know it was not up to the seller for me to win LOL ... I do get it...

I do appologize to emmadog ...

No worries and besides, you're now a much more savvy ebay-er in a short period of time.

...I have no faith in ebay.
Before the downsizing of the automotive industry
(which preceded the bailout of the automotive industry [which when combined, put the screws to a ton of families nationwide {TikiTim's included}])...
I had the luck of witnessing two separate individuals I had worked with, utilize their ebay selling techniques.
It seems these fellows had numerous ebay accounts, opened by using an arsenal of email accounts & would drive their sale price higher by bidding on them personally.
    If they had the misfortune of winning their own auction, they would simply pay for it;
leave positive/positive feedback, & re-list it sometime in the future.

I haven't bought much off ebay since.

I am pretty naive, I don't think that way, but I can see how people will do that... makes me think twice too...

you can usually tell when shilling is going on, only bid what you are willing to pay.

if you miss one chance, odds are you will get another in the future
