Live to Ride fake?

I got a pachislo machine for my birthday the other day and from what I can see, it's a fake Harley Davidson edition. Says live to ride and has a chopper on it that resembles the american flag one that peter fonda rode in Easy Rider.

unfortunately, I can't upload the picture I took on my cell phone because it died right after I took them (imagine that), but the odds control is one the inside of the door, and the LED for said odds control is on the front of the machine, where the machine tells you what you've just won. Ill do my best to describe it until I can upload some pictures and maybe someone will be able to help.

here's the deal. The machine has four little lights on the face under the medals entered lights. one for replay, one for bet, one for insert medals, and one that says "Max bet only start"

the machine has a bet button, a max bet button, the three skill stops on the front and a toggle button to switch from credits to payout.

when the machine is opened, the control box (where the key is) is located in the left hand bottom corner, and stands vertically. Highest up on the face of the box is the on/off switch, with a fuse next to it. then, lower down and centered is a switch that has two settings, and goes from left to right, which has another switch just like it below. Below these two switches are a white and red button that are right next to each other, and then below these is the key.


from my poor description does anyone have any idea how to work this thing? all these switches makes it look like it could turn from max bet only to one, two, three, etc.

It's hard to say without a pic so that we can identify what the machine was originally. If the little pictures on the reals have nothing to do with motorcycles, it is a sure bet that it is a custom. Most machines are MAX Bet only, but they do give the impression that you can bet 1,2, or 3 medals. There are some machines like this, but if you can only play Max Bet now, that is all you will be able to play. The switches do not make it change between Max Bet and otherwise.

no, I can get in and out of odds mode just fine, I was just wondering what the other buttons and switches do, as they're all in japanese. here are some pictures that were just taken

yeah, the pictures have nothing to do with motorcycles.

let's see.. there's cherries, some type of melon that pays out nine tokens, chance bells, a blue thing with R on it for replay, a three bar, a Large red seven, and a Big bell with a seven on it. I think that's about it.

let me see if I can't get some pictures up here in the next twenty minutes or so, I know it will help for sure.

The pics will definitely help identify your machine... however, most of the inner workings of the pachislos are the same, so the information in the Pachislo FAQ will help you greatly. regardless of the machine model.

Even if it is a custom, which it certainly sounds like, there is great fun to be had with your machine. If you are more of a purist, you make want to check behind that Harley graphic as the original belly glass artwork may still be there. Sometimes, just a piece of new artwork is slipped in over the original... it may be worth a look.

so any idea what the red and white buttons do? how to use them, etc?

Not that clear, but the white one is probably clears the RAM (can't quite tell what that third character is), the other resets Errors (can't read the last 2 characters) - my best guess

one more question, the manuals I found online only showed what the switch on the bottom did. (something about having to reset after bonus games) any idea if that's correct or what the other does?

yes one of the switches would require a reset after a bonus round.. one way requrires reset the other way will allow game play to continue after a bonus round..'

What the 2 switches are for
Two switches on the power supply:
- One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
- The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

無 = off

有 = on

when you say pay out all tokens at the end of a bonus round, what exactly do you mean?
just wondering, as I'm having my birthday party and I guess it would be best for people to get the most tokens out of it while playing.

It just means it pays out the renaming credits (up to 50) still in the machine after a bonus!!

I believe the original point of those switches were for parlors that made you stop playing a machine after a bonus (is that right?? ) so the one would require a reset before it could be played again..And the other to spit out your remaining credits automatically at the same time since you couldn't use them in that machine anymore!!
