Exclamation 1999 Net Trip Devil Reel Lights?

I have a 1999 Net Trip Devil machine, and over the 10 years I've owned it, something's bothered me. Inside the reels, there are light bulbs in sockets but they are never turned on. When I originally got the machine, I questioned Stealth about it, but they said that they didn't work.

If they're not supposed to work, then why do all three have (what appears to be) brand new bulbs in the sockets? They are also plugged into the reel control board.

Does anyone out there know about these machines and can confirm if the lights are supposed to be on or not? I've attached pictures of the inside of the machine for reference.

    Thanks!!

Not familiar with your machine but, from your pictures, especially the one of the reel top, those wires are for lighting!. I have a few pachis that do not light and the wiring is different for the reels. Your wiring looks like the reels in machines with back lighting.
I would suggest you get a meter and check the bulbs inside the reels to see if they are good first. (Or swap them with working ones from the front of the machine!) Then start following the wiring back to check it for shorts, dirty connections, etc.

Yes, they are wired into the board on top of the reels, which leads me to believe they should be lit. I shined a flashlight behind the reels last night, and in the ring of "Saturn" (Bonus), it is a translucent green that looks like it will glow if the light inside the reels is on.

I already swapped out a bulb and tested it with a known working one and nothing.

My confusion is that when I questioned Stealth about it, they told me that they are not to be lit, even though they are wired and do have bulbs in the sockets. The sockets don't have any voltage going to them.

Nothing seems to be disconnected anywhere and all connections are solid without any shorts. I'm hoping someone else here owns a Trip Devil and can shed me some light (funny!) if their reels are backlit or not.

    This definitely baffles me!

Welp, looks like I figured this simple problem out. Lol!

After work, I decided to play the machine to check things out. I played for a bit, and no reel lights. Then, I hit a jackpot! Playing the jackpot, I saw some light coming from inside the reels! Seems like the lights do come on but ONLY when you hit a jackpot.

I've hit many jackpots before and never even noticed it. Now that I was aware of things, I did notice it.

This service ticket can be closed out due to my ignorance.
