Default Any Ideas For Making A Ball Hopper?

Been using the search feature to no avail, but I could swear I once saw a thread on this...

Quite some time ago I picked up a Nishijin hanemono circa 1990 on CL for free along with a vintage parts machine. Apparently the guy who had these sold off parts of them and the girl who posted them on CL just wanted them gone. I recently got around to finally cleaning it up and taking a look at it. It actually works quite well and each pocket pays out...

...BUT, there's no ball hopper on the back! Obviously I've no extra hopper laying about. Has anyone had any experience in making a ball hopper for a modern? Any type of fix is appreciated - the fact I've a hanemono machine I cannae play is driving me nuts!!

post a pic of the back of the machine.. im sure one of our members has an extra hopper...

if ya get in a pinch i'm sure i can make ya a wood one... or make a cabinet that would just bypass the need for a hopper

maybe you could make one from a drywall mud tray ,or a similar sized tupperware .or like mopar said ,build a cabinet that would eliminate the need for a hopper .

My camera is broken so I cannae post a pic, but the back of the machine is exactly the same as this one, which we both have:

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/memb...irca-1990.html

Standard Nishijin early 90s modern. Couldn't find a back pic in any of my perusals of other albums.

The only parts machine I have is already missing the hopper, unfortunately. The tupperware add-on would be about the best of my DIY abilities. I am very - I repeat, VERY - unskilled when it comes to making things unless it's in a kitchen using the stove, so making one from sheet metal or acrylic (while absolutely brilliant ideas) is well out of the range of my abilities, not to mention making a cabinet! A cabinet would be brilliant, though.

While I'm sure there's a slight size discrepancy, when all is said and done I don't think there's a big difference. I think the hoppers that come on these early 90s Nishijins are slightly bigger and thicker, but not by much.

at a quick glance the hoppers from a "B" and a "C" look really close..

but the hoppers from a "B" style of sankyo or sanyo are a bit different..

see in pics how the dump hole is offset 3/4 of an inch.. allot of hopper have no offset
