Exclamation Sanyo White Super Sea Story Ball Shooter In-op

I got my sea story from slots-pachinko.com on Wednesday (fast shipping much appreciated). First thing I noticed is the ball shooter will not put balls into machine and hammer will not launch balls.

I went into the forums and researched similar problems all relating to the dongle. Cut zip tie and noticed one of the solders was disconnected when i gently pulled on it. Tech Support sent me a new one, got it today (again fast shipping). I plugged it in, and nothing. So here is what I have done:

    • Verified all wires properly connected and tight. I had some one hold and turn ball shooter while jiggling connections
    • Replaced dongle
    • Balls loaded in top payout tray, and shooting tray
    • Opened glass doors to ensure reels play when ball dropped in start
    • manually push hammer with finger to ensure it moves
    • ensured balls entered machine from shooting tray when door is closed
    • reset machines power
    • ensured metal strip in shooting tray
    • ensured hand was touching chrome portion of ball shooter knob
Therefore, if you all can think of anything else I would love to get this machine working. It was my wife's favorite while we lived in Japan, and is the only machine she ever played since I have known her. Now that I found I could get one in the US, the dream is almost alive and a little piece of home is almost delivered. Please help me to get it to 100%

    Thanks,

have you opened the glass door and then the lower part of the door??

you will find a small latch to release it once you open the glass part.

something may be blocking the ball path or you may have a loose connection there

Ok, I go back and look. I didn't know it would be on the playing field. I thought it would be on the door itself.

Thanks for the help, will post back with results.

your model opens the whole glass and door most have a separate part for the bottom.

are balls going to the hammer??

its got to be a poor connection somewhere, i would start unplugging and reseating any connections i could find

If the balls that have entered the machine through the shooting tray, then yes one will drop onto the hammer slide. I have reset and jiggled every electircal connection I can find. Other electical connectors behind the plastic casings I haven't touched because I can't get to them. Maybe I try to take off those casings to get to those connectors.

Thanks for the continued support will post back.

If a fuse is black, its bad right? Well right beside where the dongle goes, is a UEC 7A fuse. It looks like it blew. I am going to wal-mart see if they sell these since my closest radio shack is 45 minutes away. Will post back.

try reseating the dongle, also if you have a small red button by on off switch in the back that is a reset. hold it in for 10 seconds when turning it on

I seem to have found a blown fuse next to the dongle. Now I am trying to find relacement. Radioshack and target said no. Now I am trying Autozone, then Wal-mart.

Well everyone I have called says they don't carry a 1cm 7A Fuse. They also said if they did, it owuld have too much voltage for a japanese made machine. Do you all have any recommendations for buying replacement fuses for these machines?

i would think any 7amp fuse the same size would work, you only have 24 volts going to it

Well I found a 5x20mm amp at Frys Electronics (1hr dr one way). Since I measured my fuse at 5mm in length do you think this would be the same kind? Takes more money in gas than cost of fuse, but if I can get it up and running today, it is well worth it.

5x20 mm is standard for most glass fuses these day here in europe.
You would have a 1cm glass in between 5mm metal ends, With a 5mm diameter
I'm afraid I don't know any US suppliers.
DON'T forget to make sure the powers off when you change the fuse.

Also reading this thread might help.
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...-pachinko.html

But daverob says its either 10A or 15A fuse.
Might be worth just having a quick check through other threads

    Good Luck

I got a pachinko once, and it had a bad dongle, it blew the fuse, and then the second, then the third. Pulled the dongle, and the fuse survived.

Got a new dongle in place (threw the bad one away), and all has been good ever since. I think I got mine at a local GOOD hardware store.

My original dongle did have the bad solder and I got it replaced. Maybe the old one blew the fuse. Now that I have a new dongle, hopefully replacing the fuse will work. Waiting for wife to get home, then heading to store. Cross your fingers for me. I will post reulsts.

    Well GOOD LUCK,

and make sure that you have NO dongle in for the first power up, this way if it doesn't blow... great. It it does the problem is elsewhere.

Either way... we'll help ya figure it out.
