Thanks. Just got my first machine yesterday and itching to play it. Salvation Army sold it for $25 as is. After using all of the info online, was able to just tighten a few bulbs and hook up a power supply to get all of the lights going. It is pretty clean and would not be surprised if the mechanical side is functional. Not having any luck finding balls locally though. GS has an auction ending tomorrow so I might try to hit it.

I just ordered 500 balls + 10 Gold on Sunday, (shipped Monday), from Vintagepachinko on Ebay using a Buy-it-now for $39.20 (including shipping because I did not want to wait for goldenstatetraders auction to end. I will let you know how I make out. On the matter of stainless vs. chrome balls, I think the stainless might have a different action as their surface is softer than the chrome. I could be wrong, (but I did used to work in the largest chrome plating shop in the world).Just my 2 cents

Woo Hoo! Not for sure I needed 2000 balls since my collection only has one machine, but cannot beat only paying $65.37!

I saw the SS balls on Ebay when I was looking, Here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pachinko-Balls-Stainless-Steel-Japan-Bag-500-/380343958027?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588e443a0b#ht_14 18wt_1139

I just got mine today (Tokayama engraved), look pretty good. Moparformances, Thanks for all of the help, Power Flash is up & running, and I should have gotten 1000 balls like you suggested. I need to work on it some more as the payout hangs up and I win toooooo many balls.

those look like normal chrome balls to me, mislabeled by someone that dose not know or care about the difference of chrome and stainless

After some thinking, I agree, that this is probably a case of mislabeling, and that SS Pachi balls do NOT exist. I am going to order some balls from Golden State Traders, since they are recommended. I have not completed my 1st Pachinko and I am already on the prowl for another Vintage.

Glad to hear ya got it running... 1000 balls is best on a vintage like that.. Model "A" machiens can worke fine with less.. but if you realy find yourself playing it allot ya might consider a cabinet with a larger top hopper... if its really paying out allot you can tighten the nails.. its amazing to me now a small nail adjustment will kill a free paying machine..

Just a suggestion since he hasn't posted here for awhile: Go to one of goldenstatetraders1 auctions on eBay; Under "Ask a question" give your user name, and ask him to contact (pm) you at Pachitalk.

Ebay usually sends a warning because they assume that if you are trying to set up an auction outside of Ebay.

After I made my post, shortly after GST1 set up a few buy it nows. He had an auction ending too and I won it. $63 for 2000!

I was looking to replenish my own stock of Pachinko balls, and went to eBay to buy a lot of 3,000 from them, but didn't see any. So I sent them an email asking for a quantity larger than 2,000 (cost per ball is cheaper with the more you buy) and this is the response I received:

"I have been careful with the larger numbers because we have been waiting on our stock container. If you need them ASAP I can put up 3000 in our store, or my stock arrives in about 10 days and I will be adding some larger auctions."

    Just thought I would share.
