its my understanding that all True Pachi balls are steel and chrome plated...

I saw the SS balls on Ebay when I was looking, Here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pachinko-Balls-Stainless-Steel-Japan-Bag-500-/380343958027?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588e443a0b#ht_14 18wt_1139

    heap Substitute???

I just got mine today (Tokayama engraved), look pretty good. Moparformances, Thanks for all of the help, Power Flash is up & running, and I should have gotten 1000 balls like you suggested. I need to work on it some more as the payout hangs up and I win toooooo many balls.

those look like normal chrome balls to me, mislabeled by someone that dose not know or care about the difference of chrome and stainless

After some thinking, I agree, that this is probably a case of mislabeling, and that SS Pachi balls do NOT exist. I am going to order some balls from Golden State Traders, since they are recommended. I have not completed my 1st Pachinko and I am already on the prowl for another Vintage.

Glad to hear ya got it running... 1000 balls is best on a vintage like that.. Model "A" machiens can worke fine with less.. but if you realy find yourself playing it allot ya might consider a cabinet with a larger top hopper... if its really paying out allot you can tighten the nails.. its amazing to me now a small nail adjustment will kill a free paying machine..
