the reels are really loud ( clicking ) especially the #3 reel. Any suggestion on how to quiet them down?

I just went thru my parts I have one coin in assembly. It includes the cc16, harness, prism, and board. I also have tons of cc16's quarters and dollars. MPU boards, hopper knifes and candle paper. Also micro switches cpu keys and reset/attendant keys.

Wow! I'm definetly interested in the coin in assembly, as you can see by the image, I only have the hopper

Not sure what you mean by cc16 quarters and dollars. Are they perfect coins to compare to?

no, i meant cc16's are set up to take different size coins, dollars need a wider opening and a heavier counter weight.

Ah gotcha, I have a cc16 on my other machine but the connector is 4 pin ( 3 active ) but the size is a little smaller than the one you have. But the one you have matches the wiring already in the machine that needs one!

I can pay via paypal for the parts and include my address in a PM as well as in the paypal notes.

Do you know where to find the coin slot for .25 size? the one where the coins are inserted on the outside of the machine. I found one on Ebay but it's $25 plus shipping, seems a little steep. Unless that's just what they go for?
    Thanks! you're extremely helpful!!

Any suggestions on how to reduce the noise of the reels?

Thats the link to the one that I've found. Is $30 with shipping a good price?

sure does seem steep. the funny thing is I can't tell you how many of those I threw away converting games from coin to ticket.

as far as the reels, noisy reels are the reel baskets. they warp a little over time and need to be replaced. In a busy casino they are replaced every year or so.

are the reel baskets model specific, or pretty general in size?

I guess I'm doing the opposite of your work, removing the ticket system and finding the parts you tossed

s6000 reel baskets are all the same, not sure if S5500 would work but you can mix and match with your other machine and find out.

Well I'm an S2000 user and it does print tickets. The validation code is like 000-000000000000000000000-00. but it will print the dollar amount that I am cashing out. I had a Bally S6000 and it did the same thing.

I turned on the machine today and it's doing a spastic flicker of the reels and flashing characters on LED's. Reset didn't work.

    Mitchell,

If all the buttons are flashing you most likely have a dead battery
that shows up as 81 error, measure the voltage if it drops below
    3volts it should be replaced.

Also that 88 error you had before is catastrophic failure of the MPU
you can clear that but in time it might come back,I have seen many
bad parts on the board cause this or even a loose eprom.

You can print tickets on a Bally 6000 but you have to use
2003 mains U28 and U43 and setup the 11d menu correctly
you can also have the ticket print out your game room name if you like
or whatever you want it to read...BUT like posted before you can't
use the ticket to add credits to the machine.

BTW $75 is a great deal for that machine
I know this post is old but I just joined and had
    to answer.
