Shooting playfield features does nothing?

Hello everyone, recently picked up this game.

Seems to play fine, but nothing on the playfield responds except for the 'Start' hole that's centered below the reels. When you shoot the hole, the machine spins the reels, lights up, makes lots of noise, pays out if you line up some stuff.

The other holes don't do anything. No matter what you shoot, the numbers on the LEDs don't change from 0.

The other question I had about this one - there's a 24V motor that spins continuously when the machine is turned on. It has two gears on it that clear balls if there are any that you have shot that didn't get paid out. Is this normal behavior?

Did the hopper tray on the back is full of balls? and not just a hand full of balls in it but really full?

When you place ball in other pockets, the machine is supposed to pay a small amount of balls. It is possible that there's a couple of pocket that do nothing, but most of them do.

About the motor, I never heard of one clearing the balls. When you look at the back of the machine, is it a motor on the right side of the machine, not far from the edge? If so, it's the payout motor. This motor is trying to payout some balls. Be sure that the tray on the back is full, the tracks below going to that motor are full of balls too.

On the back of the machine, check if your payout system is the same as the picture attached. Some sellers (the original ones here in the US) cut the hooks so that the machine will continue to play regardless of whether or not you have balls in the upper hopper in the back. This prevents a backup of balls inside the machine.

Wow, thanks for the information guys.

So I should just expect a small payout but no light show for shooting the other pockets? I believe it's currently doing that. I suppose I expected Nicolas Cage to jump out and yell at me everytime I shot something.

the center pocket is called the start pocket, thats what activates the video, lights and music, the other pockets just pay out balls as you get one in them.

you can test all, by just opening the glass part of the door with the small latch on the back left of machine and manually dropping a ball in each pocket.

Any idea what gets the LED counters to display anything besides 0?

There's also a trap door type thing below the reels that I can manually open up. Is that something that's activated by a combination on the reels?

when you get a fever the trap door will open for a few mins for usually 15 rounds, the more balls you get in it the more you win
