    Default Battery Connection

I have just been given a Vintage Pachinko and no nothing about them. There is a piece of paper with it which says restored models 1200,3200 and 4200. My first problem is how do you connect the battery? there is three thumb terminals and I don't know voltage or anything. Thanks for any help.

    welcome to Pachitalk

the supper easy answer is a 9 volt battery..

tha harder on is the where..

if you have a NIshijin yous should look somthing like this.. but not exactly

the white wires are for the lights.. im running a transformer for lights on this one (reason for larger wire) but a simple 9 volt lead from your local radio shack or parts house works great

    power flash fuse box (1).jpg

i dont use 9 volts any more.. but a good option is a 9 or 10 volt wall wart like this one

I believe.. the red is your hot (+) connection and the yellow/white is the ground (-) connection. These buttons either pull out, push in or screw to clamp on to a stripped wire end. Your power supply should be 9v if you are using the original bulbs as they are rated at 10v. Since it's only lights and switches... AC or DC does not matter.

To run on batteries you have a couple of option. You can use a single 9v square battery or 4 round batteries connected in series (1.5v x 4 = 9v). You will need a battery holder/connection component. You can get a 9v end connector off of any old radio or other device that would do not use any more. Alternatively you can get a 9v battery connector with leads from Radio Shack. If you want to use the smaller round batteries I would suggest AA or C size. You can find a 4 battery pack holder with leads also at radio shack. I prefer the round type as they are a bit cheaper in the long run and can provide more amps for longer time.

If you have a wall wart you want to use (either AC or DC) then you can simply need to find one of the correct voltage and either snip off the adapter end or get a female adapter that fits and wire that in.

Once you have your power supply selected and acquired, simply strip the insulation off the ends and stick them into the appropriate connection buttons. For AC the connection order doesn't matter. For DC it really doesn't matter either.. but on some with multiple lights and switches it may require you to put + to the red button and Negative to the yellow on.

The blue button is there for a 'ground signal' to a main operator board located elsewhere in the Pachinko Parlour and generally not used by us home collectors.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
