My last post didn't go through for some reason .

We have opened the tray. There are two holes. One that leads to the dump button, and the other doesn't seem to lead anywhere. Some pictures are posted.

move the black lever on the white plastic part aside and the white plastic part will come off, perhaps then you can get to the ball that way

We finally got the Pachinko machine to work, thanks to compirate, but now the START hole isn't reacting to the fact that a ball has gone into it. We looked behind the machine and there are hundreds of balls stockpiled behind the START hole and also behind the "hard drive" of the machine. Any tips on how to remove it?

In the picture attached, open the cover (the yellow arrow is pointing to the latch) and with a pencil or some other object, push the levers (the ones hanging down from above) to the right and the payout system should cycle till the balls in the back have emptied. If they're stuck in there, shake the machine a little, or a sharp rap on the side of the frame will unstick them, then move the levers over and let it empty again. You don't have to have balls in the upper hopper, probably better if you don't

Here's a solution I used to remove an oversized ball that I couldn't get to. Like Mopar suggested, going out the way it got in is the best route.

Get a fairly strong magnet... then use it on the outside to 'pull' the ball up and along the route to an exit point. If there are multiple balls behind it... get them out first and then the big one.

One other point that may seem obvious but sometimes gets over looked. You wont' hurt the machine by turning it upside down or flipping it or ... etc. You might be able to work the ball out by rotating the whole machine and let gravity do the trick.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

We managed to clear the START hole by sticking a pipe cleaner into the hole and pulling out the clogged balls. The culprit was a larger ball from a different game (yet again). We were just wondering, what does Lucky Magic do? When we got the ball into the hole, nothing happened, probably a result of some electrical problem.

Getting a ball in the "Start" pocket should start your reels (either actual or on an LCD screen) spinning in your centrepiece.

Thanks, but we were wondering what Lucky Magic does. It is right above the screen. You can see it in the pictures on the first post.

I misunderstood you, sorry - my fault! That is merely a payout pocket. It doesn't do anything to trigger the reels, but it should give you the standard payout. Does it pay out any balls when a ball goes in? If not, there may be another ball jam in the line somewhere.

Also, have you let the machine "catch up" with all of its payouts with a filled top hopper?

The Start slot still isn't working. We think that the balls from there are supposed to go to the payout system, but they are not getting there. We think it may be another jam, but we would have to move what looks like the hard drive to get access to the jam. How should we move it?

You may want to check all of the clips on the back (the plastic piece at the end of groups of wires). It could be that one isn't connected properly and isn't triggering the LCD reels. Still, you should at least be getting your 15-ball (or however many it is) payout.

However, since you've already found wrong-sized balls in there it's definitely a candidate for the old "turn upside down, shake, and give it a couple of whacks on the side" method. You should, at the very least, get the balls you've personally put in that pocket out, leaving the obstruction.

The circuit board appears to be held down with a few screws. It doesn't look like it will be too hard to get behind it. Also, from the link compirate sent it appears that the whole centrepiece on the playfield is only held down with 6 screws. Maybe you could just unscrew the centrepiece from the front and find your obstruction more easily.
