Powerflash: Nails too close, is it possible?

I'm restoring my Powerflash, putting back nails in the existing holes, aligning them on the way.

Over the tulips, it seem that the three nail making a triangle are too close to let a ball pass in between. Is it possible that these nails have been specially put that way to prevent balls from entering the top of closed tulips?

I don't think any of the nails are positioned intentionally to prevent balls from going into a closed tulip. Of course the nails can be bent in such a way to cause that. It's been awhile since I've played my PF's but I'm pretty sure balls go in all the tulips when closed.

On my PF's, can't get a ball in the closed joker or queen tulips, and can only get a ball in the jacks from the outer 2 nails.

same on my thunderbird.. but its not cause of the nails it is due to the pinwheels above thouse 4 tulips

Thank-you for the information. for me I have to bent the nails a lot to allow a ball to pass in between the nails triangle over the tulip. the distance between the holes in the wood don't allow a ball to go in between. I must bent them each one outward from each other.

Same thing for the space between the two nails next to the top right spinner. Right side of the top right big spinner, there's a row of 4 nails, the row under have 5 nails. the first nail of each row don't allow a ball to go in between.
