A Recent trip to the country
My cousin was married last weekend, so i had to make a trip to the down to the Peloponnese and attend the wedding.
so while visiting with my parents, I thought i would take a few Panoramic images of the village where my parents live ( my mom grew up there)

There's only a single line, one or more trains can be stopped on the station sidings, one can go straight through

correct, the line has one track, and the trains wait for each other.
one of the great things about train travel is the timing is amazing.

Ha, Ha, You need to ride the trains in Alaska, we have one set of tracks with sidings.
If they say you'll be at your destination at 12:00pm, you might be there by 2:00pm. I think they want to sell you dinner.

the pictures were taken at about 2pm...
everyone but me was at home eating lunch or having a mid day siesta.
the village itself has a population of about 350, and is about 15 km / 10 miles from a nearby city with a population of 30000 approximately.
its a great place to go and relax.. our house is right behind the station, so going by train is a great and easy solution. the village itself is 2 1/2 hours from Athens by Car or 4 hours by train from Athens.

well i cant speak for the Alaskan railway system...Ha, Ha, You need to ride the trains in Alaska, we have one set of tracks with sidings.

though i would very much like to make it up to those parts..
