    Default Pachislot Battle Counter

Compirate was kind enough to point out my new battle counter is for a pachislo not pachinko - not a big deal, I have a Yamasa Gundam 2 I can use it on. Problem is how... the long chord to the payout board is good to go, but where does a parlor tap the machine for power (or do they tap a central source outside the machine for power? Do connections need to be made beyond the payout board connector? I did look around here and on a few other sites but didn't see much for info.

    thanks all!

The battle counters are powered from the parlors 24v system (usually a bunch of 1 to 1.5KVA transformers in the aisle). If you don't have a spare 24vac transformer laying around, you can probably get one on daBay, it doesn't take a lot to power these, incandescent bulbs a little more than the led versions.

you can just tap into the 24 volt side of your transformer, if your pachislo has one. it doesn't use much power

Thanks guys I guess l need a external power source...there is no visible way to tap the onboard case easily. Perhaps I'll tap one of my pachinko supplies for now to try it out.

So I was wondering today (while searching daBay for a transformer) ... to any electrical minded folks out there... I have a TON of old transformers kicking around the house from old electronics - would it be possible to use one, and if so what sort of output rating would I be looking for in volts/Milliamps? I know a few sitting around me are 12-15V DC out at 700mA to 1A. I popped the electronics out of the battlecounter case and could not see any ratings on the circuitboards or plugs.
