Howdy Folks!
I've been fascinated with these infernal devices since I spent some time fondling a non-functional one at a friend's place as a kid.

Many times I have pondered acquisition over the years, but nothing's happened yet. For good or ill, Craigslist has yielded up a bounty of pachinkos lately, both modern and vintage. I'm going to look at a couple of (reputedly) functional machines (one modern, one vintage) this afternoon.

I'm a 'puter dood with a perverse fascination for non-electronic stuff... mainly clocks and pocketwatches so far. The rube-goldbergian youtube videos of the backs of vintage machines during operation may have pushed me over the edge.

Chances are I'll end up with one or more soon. I've done enough research to fool myself into thinking I have a vague concept of what I'm getting myself into.

(Somebody, quick, talk me out of it! )

My CL appointment yesterday fell through, seller didn't get back to me with a location in time. (What is it with Craigslist, anyway?)

Chance to dodge the bullet and postpone full expression of the addiction, eh? Nah... I rescheduled for today, made another (tentative) appointment to see another set of machines, went hunting after balls, and ordered a few 'Miracle Cloth' from ebay.

I think I've lost this battle. Pics undoubtedly forthcoming.
