Default Texas Auctions Willing to Help When Problems Arise

I bought three games from Texasauctions this past week---Aquarium, Fruit Passion and California Sun. Only the Aquarium had serious issues. It had an extremely noisy motor that rotates a spinner and a missing part that Curtis missed in his description.

I emailed him and he has promised a replacement motor and plans to cannibalize an Aquarium for parts to obtain the missing trim part.

I told him I would contact tech support before I jump into the motor replacement as it lives behind a large circuit board. I think it is best when the game can be serviced at home as shipping can get expensive.

Curtis always has delivered on his promises to me. I have purchased seven games from Texasauctions.

I will let you know how things go with the repairs.

I should note that I believe the markdown prices on the games I bought were a tradeoff between "like new" for full priced games and "heavily played" but still fun at a lower price. Be prepared to live with some obvious cosmetic shortcomings.

I agree, I have bought one machine from TA but I plan to buy a few more.
Mine was a mark down and had a loose shooter knob, a wear spot on the play board, burn marks near the ashtray, and a dead spinner.

I've corrected all these problems myself, except for the burn marks. But I'm about to start sanding and use Novus to correct this.

For $59.99 +$10.00 pick up fee I could not ask for a better deal. Curt also gave me a good deal on balls when I arrived to pick up the machine, and I picked up a prestained pachinko cabinet for $10.00.

If I lived close enough to TA to do will call orders, I'd be in big trouble :!:
I only have room for five machines total, but that wouldn't stop me if I could buy machines on impulse :-?

The part I needed for the repairs arrived today. It did the trick!

    Texasauctions came through again!

Now, if they would just lower their prices a bit on first line games.

Somehow with Curt buying out Republic Industries, I think this has become a pipe dream... :-(

I received a machine from Texas Auctions last week. The front facade was broken. Fedex picked it up last week to send back to them. Now they are telling me that I HAVE TO WAIT for fedex to decide what they are going to do. Now, why am I waiting? The machine was broken because of nothing I did. And if fedex denies the claim, then what? I am screwed! If it didn't matter what fedex said, why are they making me wait? I am becoming more pissed, the more I type.

John I agree with the man with the purple hat. Call Curt and be nice and talk to him.

But since you do not have the machine only one of two results can come from this : Either Curt immediately sends you a replacement or he gives you an immediate refund. If he doesn't agree to do one of these solutions immediately, then you need to quickly move and reverse charges on your chargecard or PayPal.

Having received a fever king from Arby, I would agree. It's a kickin' machine! I like it better than Batman. "Hello Japanese Pachinko Parlor, please send over a Star Wars!"

The one thing I have a hard time learning: It is always better to wait 24 hours before jumping to conclusion. No matter how sure you are.

Patience, patience.........I would make a pure Jeti.

Thumbs up Re: Texas Auctions Willing to Help When Problems Arise

Curt at TA came through again for me. A transformer died on my Thunderzone last Friday morning and he got one out immediately. It arrived today and all is well again on my machine. His service has been perfect. He does all he can to make his customers satisfied. He communicates well and I've talked with him on the phone several times and he's more than helpful and congenial. Thumbs up! :biggthump

    That's good news, slotter.
My Penguin has started to make a gawdawful noise that seems related to the motor that turns the carousel. Hopefully I'll have the chance to call him tomorrow. It's a fun machine, but I don't want to take the chance of burning anything up, so it's just sitting there now.
