Default Need help to determine what it's worth!

I'm looking at purchasing a vintage pinball machine and I don't know anything about the value. It's a 1962 Flipper Cowboy Add-a-ball machine. The pictures show one just like the one I'm looking at. The one I might buy needs work, I just want to make sure I pay a fair price for it if I decide to buy it. All help would be greatly appreciated.

The latest price list shows it is worth $1830...

    Kinda high inho...

But that's probably what they are asking... If you can get it for 1700 or 1600 its a deal... It's rated a 8.1 on the fun scale...it might be a good game!

only 2600 units produced...made in 1965...Those old em games seem to go for alot if in good coniditon.

if it's in good cosmetic condition ,and only needs some mechanical work done to it ,and if the asking price reflects that ,you could get a good deal . the list price for a machine is for one in good condition ,and working 100 % .don't pay anything close to that amount if it is in worse condition .

If the pin is in bad shape then I would offer maybe 1200 or even 1000 depending on the shape. LIke mopar said 1850 is for a mint condition one. Let me look at this other site to see what it goes for with a little more wear:

Just verified average price last year for a decent shape one is about 1200..so go from there up or down depending on shape and functionality.

The price he wants is $350 for a working machine. Buy or not buy?

Prices have been varying widley on this machine, no doubt due to conditions, but it IS a very collectable machine that is highly regarded amongst collectors.

    I'd take a chance at only ~$400
There is always another machine around the corner...

If you like the machine and have the money I say go for it...but you reall have to like the theme, if I don't care for the theme or gameplay even if it was 100 dollars I wouldn't buy it..it just has to strike you..wow thats the one I want...but I say go for it!

i'd say go for it at that price .even if you don't like it ,you could always get your money back out of it if you sold it .

I think I am going to pass on it, I don't have the time or the space to mess with it. So if any body wants it PM me and I give you the info where it is, or we can work something out on me getting it for you.

Thanks to all for help and info
