My Daughter and I watched the England V USA match and thought it was quite a rollercoaster of a match, our Goal keeper was very unlucky with that US goal, and our Strikers had lots of missed opportunities

I've never seen the USA team play before and they were actually pretty good!!

Much as I am disappointed that England didn't secure a win, I do think both teams played well, so I'll settle for a tie

I'm with Stuey... I am surprised that USA didn't lose. I thought England ran circles around us for a great deal of the game, but we did show some muscle toward the end and I am sure that saved us.

So far that seems to be the case... but there is a looooong way to go. This morning was the first 'own goal' in this competition, I believe. It was in Denmark V. Netherlands. I really felt sorry for the guy responsible...and up until the 85th minute, it looked as though that goal was going to decide the game... that would have really sucked... but then the Netherlands scored a goal on their own merit and that sealed the win for them. The guy that got the 'own goal' also had a terrific save at the end of the game... wonder if anyone will remember that.

Hmmm... I would have never picked South Korea over Argentina... but it could happen. In the first half, South Korea scored a goal against themselves and then Argentina scored on their own. But in first half stoppage time, South Korea took advantage of a very lax moment on Argentina's part and were able to knock one in. Could be a great second half.

Wow... Greece caught a big break in their match. Thirty four minutes in, a Nigerian player lost his composure and kicked a Greece player while the ball was out of play...this earned him a RED-card and thus, out of the game. Greece will now play the remainder of the game one man up. Go Greece...

I thought the match between South Korea and Argentina was one of the best I've seen since this tournament began. Unfortunately the final score of 4-1 would lead you to believe that Argentina walked all over South Korea... I don't think that was the case at all. Both teams had great ball control and it was a fast paced game. Argentina really showed their skill in the attacking third of the field and it paid off for them in the end. It was fun to see Maradona on the sidelines looking like he wanted to play so badly!
