I don't know much about soccer...oops, I mean football But I always enjoy watching the World Cup when I can!!

Who do you think will win?? It'll be the US this time I bet!!

Today's matches are..

From Group A

South Africa vs. Mexico

and

Uruguay vs. France


I will say Mexico and France will win today!!

This opener has been rough. For those wondering ESPN3's streaming is pretty rubbish if you have anything else going on your network. I am currently running a 84 meg connection and it drops a dozen frames every minute at low quality. And barely anyone is in the office today.

Ouch! I would not like to be watching that! Luckily... I am able to watch it at home on ESPN... at least for this week. Not sure what will happen when I am in Egypt next week.

Im switching feeds to a spainish one for France v Uruguay - I may not speak the language, but you have to love the Spanish Football Coordinator.

I'm not a great fan of football(soccer) fan. I don't understand a lot, but I always support Brasil team(Brazillian team), of course. But Only one time in world cup history a country team wins 2 world cups in sequence. Brazil 1958, Brazil 1962. So if Brazil wins this world cup, I wouldn't bet that will win in 2014 world cup that will be here in Brazil. But 2014 will be here at home, so possibilities can be broken.

In the US both of those games will be on ESPN..The first game starts a 7:30am ET

And then from Group C..the game everyone is waiting for!!

England vs. United States

In the US this game will be on ABC and the game starts at 2:30pm ET

They do that in the later rounds LD.

In this round, they will get a point for a tie and more for a win.

The reason they let them end the game in a tie is,

because if they played til they broke the tie, everyone would get bored and leave

Well here are yesterdays scores...

South Korea 2 : 0 Greece...I watched this game...Ouch!!

Argentina 1 : 0 Nigeria

England 1 : 1 United States...And I watched this game...WOW..Great game!! I can't believe we didn't lose!! It started out looking like it was going to be worse than the Greece game, but turned out great..And we almost even scored again..but we didn't want to embarrass England that much!!


Ok, now on to Sundays games...

From Group C..

Algeria vs. Slovenia

And from Group D..

Serbia vs. Ghana

And..

Germany vs. Australia


Now for my super uninformed winning predilections...Drum roll please..

So far everyone in Group A has 1 point.. In Group B South Korea and Argentina both have 3 and so far in Group C England and the US both have 1 point...In case you were wondering!!

I HATE the Algerian Futbol team... they knocked Egypt out of the World Cup qualifiers with a lot of dirty play. Hmmm... I see that one of their players got ejected with a red card...par for the course.
